Nice. Mine is getting closer. Docked a few days ago.Originally posted by Finance_Analyst View PostI received my GTI today
The new bluetooth is quite an impressive piece of kit! The 18 inch wheels make the car look sic!
The only option on my car is BT (well and sports pack), and since it was the only 118 DSG united grey with sports pack on it's way I grabbed it. Looking forward to the BT option now

If your concerned with body flex then you shouldn't be buying a hatch.Originally posted by Corey_R View PostWell the 3 doors will likely have less body flex than the 5 doors... 2 less big holes in the bodywork!
As for the difference between a 3 and 5 door hatch, well that is a mute point when you have a great big hole in the back of the car.MY11.5 Golf 118TSI DSG - United Grey, Sports pack (cloth), Bluetooth, MDI

Agreed. These arguements are immaterial in my opinion and if you want perfect handling with no roll etc, buy a crotch rocket like a Lotus Elise which has bone hard ride and requires a size 28 to squeeze in and out of.....If your concerned with body flex then you shouldn't be buying a hatch.Current ride: 2014 Range Rover Evoque 5 Door TD4 Pure | 9 Spd Auto | Fuji White | Black Leather | 19 inch 'Dynamic' Wheels

Or a sedan if your real concern is body flex, but worry between a 3 & 5 door hatch is pointless.Originally posted by Finance_Analyst View PostAgreed. Whilst I bought my 5 door from stock, I still would have ordered the same and I don't have a family. It's about accessability, I've had 2 coupes in the last 7 years and whilst they look great, the doors are much bigger which limits tight parking options (getting in and out). I also play golf and often have 2 sets of clubs in the car, easy access to the back seat, including folding the rear seat easily was a big factor. Especially now I have put a sub in the cargo area, the back seat is now the primary carrying area for clubs.Originally posted by worx View PostNot many people buy the three door, just no good for family?
It's mostly an old age thing
