Yeah - a good dealer would tell you it'll be 4 weeks. Then the customer will come here and have people tell them that's ridiculous and it only took 10 days for them. Then the customer is annoyed at the dealer anyway... they're stuffed both ways

The thing was last Thursday he told me the car will arrive in the shop on Monday. He mentioned it takes a few days plus he wasn't working tue and wed so by Friday it would be ready for pick up. I called him today on the status and he said the car hasn't arrived yet. Courtesy call on Monday would've been nice to at least not get my hopes up throughout the week. Ahh can't do anything now but to keep on waitin...... 3/6/11 - GOT THE CALL FROM DEALER YESTERDAY SAYING ONLY HAVE A TORNADO RED ONE IN STOCK WITH THE ABOVE SPECS, + BLUETOOTH & MDI, WHICH WILL NOW COST ADDITIONAL $760 WHICH I WASNT WRAPPED ABOUT. Picked up the new addition to the family this morning. Spent the day driving around Sydney, then back to the central coast. So far I am thoroughly impressed. Car feels like a dream to drive (compared to my last bomb). Can't wait to put some more klms on it ASAP. Was told by my dealer today that 'if all goes according to plan' (whatever that means......), I should have my GTI by the end of this week!!!!!
FYI - There seems to be an 'explosion' of GTIs across QLD this week. Australs had about 8 (mainly 3dr and plus all but one was a 2010 build) and Norris had about the same number (only 1 appeared to be 2011 build)....
