How to track the car you have ordered?

Going off the booking date for shipping, I'd say it was week 6-7 ish.
So what dealership you picking yours up from?

Looks like mine is sailing on the Morning Conductor although still cannot track it by VIN as of last night. Hopefully it will show up soon and i will be able to track it as definately on this ship. Only one that meets the date schedule.

ahh thanks ozvino. I just called the dealer, was scheduled week 10 build, which I take is this present week and he still cant give me further information. ah well ill just have to wait

Mine was also scheduled Week 10. Dealer has provided me (today) with my vin and stated "Currently listed as ‘Int Transfer’....somewhere between factory and water." I will be checking the shipping daily until it appears on a ship and then, like all those needing a therapist, will track and hopefully watch it through all the ports to Melbourne.

Anyone expecting their vehicle to be on the MV Topeka arriving 2am Fri ?

Was told by my dealer that my vehicle was arriving mid Mar.

I still cannot find it on the tracking website, if it is on a boat according to the dealer and built in week 8 2010 should it be showing by now? I am told it will arrive in Sydney 13th April. Should my VIN look like WVWZZZ1KZAW......
The six dots represent six numbers at the end of the VIN or is this not correct.

Any help would be appreciated as i am starting to think i may be getting fed a line by the dealer.

This doesn't sound right...........if the dealer is giving you a dock date of the 13th of April, this means the ship is sailing right now! So as long as you are checking on this website: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...countryList.do then the vehicle should be there as it would have been scanned when it arrived at the port for shipping. The website should also tell you the expected arrival date at your port.

I would suggest that you check the VIN with the dealer or it could be possible that you are entering the VIN in the wrong spot on the site. Oh and another thing, make sure you use the 'Track & Trace' section of the website.

My vin starts the same as yours to. My car is a week 10 build and should have been loaded onto the boat yesterday and should arrive on the 25 of April in Brissy. It seems you have to wait a few weeks before it shows up on the tracking. Mine shows nothing too.

BAM - Vin is correct except my dots appear to have different values.

TDiJetta - did your dealer tell you it was shipping 10/3 and arriving 25/4 or is that your assumption? I hope you are right as that puts week 10 cars on the Torino which is on its way. Only issue is mine is a GTI and yours is a 118TSI so different production run and hence maybe different shipping times.

Followed up with the dealer again today and told it will not be arriving in the country until 24th April now. Then it has to go through customs etc so another 2 weeks after that until it gets to the dealer. The wait just gets longer and longer........

Probably explains why my VIN is not showing on the shipping website yet. The boat scheduled for this journey has not left Germany yet as such the car has not been scanned on. Hopefully the dates do not keep slipping.

Yes my car is week 10, but I am unsure of what ship - working off the dates you gave they correspond to the Torino on the tracking website by checking the port to port schedules. I hope it is correct, but it could be any of the ships leaving over the next few weeks if they are not on the Torino.

Can you see your VIN on the tracking site. As the ones loaded at Bremerhaven on the 10th are on the site, but mine is not among them. Last 6 #s on the Vin seem to only be 32.... whereas mine is 34.....

Hopefully mine has just not been updated yet.

Mine is still not showing up on the tracking either. The next ship to leave is the Mignon and then the Talisman.
