How to track the car you have ordered?

I sat in mine last night, all being well it will have plates on it by 4pm and ready to go....

I think yours and mine are coming on same ship. I can not pickup my car until the end of next week because I'm still waiting for my fund to be transferred to my bank account.

Yes. They said that they are expecting it on the mid-March ship.
I ordered mine last Nov - so it's been quite a wait.

Have tried checking the tracking site with no records found. Am i trying to track it too early on in the process or is something else amiss?

I didnt see mine til 2 or 3 days after it had boarded the ship.

Use the WW site to look at schedules, a bit of detective work and you can pretty much figure out whic ship you will be on.

Are your cars both on the Vessel OTELLO (arriving in Port Kembla on the 18th March)?

Bam - considering it was built not too long ago, it's pretty normal not to find any records of it just yet. The W&W tracking website may not necessarily return any records until it's loaded on a vessel and has actually begun it's journey from Germany. I'd say give it another 1 1/2 - 2 weeks before it appears on the W&W website... it will eventually show up.

Then if you want to go waayyyyy over board (like me) you can go here - http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx, and track the ship, it only works close to land but you can see the ship leave Bremerhaven and travel to ports around europe. You'll be able to see it as it arrives at any port.

Generally the ships travel to Southhampton, so if the above is not obsessive enough you can go here - http://www.cowesharbourweather.com/webcam.aspx. You can SEE the ship go past/through Cowes harbour on its way to Southhampton..........

Just to add to that, marinetraffic is probably the best tracker on the Internet when the boat is close to shore. If it is out of range of the AIS trackers, it's worth checking out sailwx.info since it appears to be able to track boats out in the ocean as well but albeit at far less frequent intervals (the vessel I am tracking now only updates its position every 6 hours).

i pinched myself when i considered going to port Melbourne to watch it come into port..

Had my dealer advise me after requesting an update on my car that it was on a ship and expected to arrive in Sydney on 12th April. Checked the tracking website again tonight and still no records found. Is this normal or is the dealer not being totally upfront with me about things?

My car only showed up a few days ago, yet is due in on the 4th April. You can look at the schedules by port here - http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...countryList.do

From that you'll be able to work out with ship the car is on.

Based on this I think what you're experiencing is pretty normal.

Mine is due in melb on 7-Apr, so I'm guessng th one after yours Sp0t, but mines been up on that website for a bit over a week now.
I'd still give it until the end of th week, but I guess so long as you've got th VIN then you don't have too much to worry abt.

Now that you mention it mine is the 7th too, so we're on the same boat. Not sure what I was thinking earlier.
