How to track the car you have ordered?

Yay, finally found out my car was loaded onto the Tombarra. now the real wait begins i guess. Hopefully itll go quick. are you guys anticipating a wait of around +- 3 weeks for delivery after the ship docks?

Just had a quick look in the schedule, the Tombarra is due in Brisbane 07/05/2010.
Allow another two weeks and all going well you can REALLY get excited around 21st May.

The wait is worth it.

Well my GTI, evern though a week 10 build is still on the docks or is swimming after the Tombarra which it was pencilled in to go on. As the VIN hasn't appeared it must have decided to wait for the next ship which if it catches the Toba will get into Melbourne before the Tombarra - so all is not lost.

My dealer called a few days ago and gave me the VIN for my GTI. It was loaded on the Toreador on 23rd March and arrives in Melbourne on 30th April.

Hopefully looking good to be picked up in middle of May.

I think I'm in the same boat as you, Crow. (Okay, worst pun ever, hehe. ) Mine's still not showing on the shipping site either.

Given our cars were built on the same day and are both being delivered to Adelaide, you'd think the likelihood is they'll end up on the same ship.

I rang my dealership today and they told me that the GTI will land in Melbourne on the 22nd of June. With a week 14 build. Anyone else out there with a week 14 build? By the way I ordered the car on the 08/03/10 and was told that it will be ready for delivery mid September... this has now been cut back 2 months... not too sure if I could believe them.

Hmmm must be getting close to mine. I think mine was originally set for week 12 but understand there was a 2 week delay. Have to ring my dealer and see where things are up to.

yay the tracking thing finally works. my car is on the boat now!! on the 29th... long wait for me it wont land until 12th of may T_T
it's on the DON QUIJOTE i am obsessively tracking the ship so sad 8 (

Mine has finally shown up on the tracker - on the Don Quijote as well, bound for Melb on the 10th May. Back on the original schedule - drat, was hoping it might have snuck onto the Torreador, but I guess not

I keep getting "ATT system error has occurred" when I go to check since last night and again this morning. Are you using Internet Explorer to get to the site?

Finally got through. My GTI is on the Toba heading to Melbourne on the 4th May 2010. Now the countdown begins.

Mine is also on the tracking site now, and... RATS! It's on the Don Quijote, and doesn't arrive in Melbourne until May 10.

And as of today I will be carless.
