How to track the car you have ordered?

My GTI got discharged yesterday (24/3).. now to see how long it takes to get to the dealer!

So from all the posts.. i guess i should be allowing two weeks for clearance and maybe 5-7 days for rego, tints and bluetooth??

my dealer finally emailed me saying that my car has been built and is awaiting loading in germany .. my car was a week 10 build. what takes so long for it to be loaded onto a ship? hopefully it has got on the Toreador. ive asked several times for VIN number and he has not bothered replying or callig back

Mine is also a late week 10 build - just got the VIN a few days ago, but it's not showing on the tracking site as yet. Interestingly it's a 33% VIN, whereas many 34%'s are already showing as having been loaded. Not panicking yet, just curious

My dealer says that I will have to wait until early April before I can get a VIN (ordered 10 Feb) and expected delivery is mid June.

Anyway, I have been given a Commission number and an Order number by the dealer. Does anyone know if I can use these numbers to track my car?

I logged onto the Patrickcarecare website and you need a Booking Number, is this something that the dealer would have?

No there isn't any way to track it without the VIN.
I ordered mine on 28 January and was told the same as you.
Got my commison number but Vin will not be relaesed until April, building in May and delivery mid June.

No point worrying over it, just wait until Mid-Late April for the VIN or look at stuff to spruce your car up with in the mean time

It appears that the cars loaded on to the Toreador have not been uploaded to the tracking system as the Tombarra which only loaded yesterday has already uploaded car stock details and previous cars are ones loaded on Talisman. There is a huge gap in VIN numbers between the two and mine is one of those missing - so I am assuming I am on the Toreador. My car was a week 10 build. Trying to contact my dealer to confirm - away today and others all busy. The wait continues, meanwhile I will track the Toreador and hope I am right.

Same as you Raybau, my VIN is also 33% but its not coming up on tracking. Strangely enough the cars on Toreador (left on 23/03) are still not updated & the ship which is left on 25/03 is been updated thats why there are many 33% loaded on 25/03......iam hoping Toredor cargo would be updated soon showing my car's VIN...fingers crossed.

Let's hope it is on the Toreador, as that is docking 10 days earlier than the estimated port arrival date on my paperwork... that would be nice! Not counting my chickens yet until it appears on the tracking site.

I just confirmed with my dealer, car is coming on TOREADOR. you better confirm with your dealer if its on same ship. To best of my knowledge first 11 letters are same...........

Confirmed with dealer that due in 28/4 which was the origin Toreador due date, but is now 2 days later so I am 95.5555% sure mine is also on Toreador which hits Melbourne 30/4. Dealer assured my vehicle is on the water coming to Australia. It all fits. My vin is a 34% but a very low in other 4 digits.

My VIN is now showing on the tracker as being on the Toreador but the port of discharge is displayed as Melbourne! My dealer and I are in Sydney! Might have to wait even longer if the shipping has been c*cked up. I'll check with the dealer on Monday.

The cargo list for TOREADOR is been updated on website, mine is showing in list.
