How to track the car you have ordered?

Mine arrives this week as well. Dealer said they expect it Wednesday but I'm oping it's a day or two earlier..... perhaps my delivery will be Thursday also!

Quarantined ship delaying VW deliveries???

...this is the latest from my Dealer as to why the car isn't being delivered after a week ago being told it had landed and was going to take two weeks for pre-delivery (although it must be ahead of schedule as the original date was April 29th - now I've been told it's here I want it)
Apparently there is a ship full of European cars delayed by whomever does this stuff to have all of the vehicles "sprayed"?
Anyone expecting their car soon been told the same thing?

Hi, do you know the name of the ship your car was on? Mine is due in Bris on the 29/4, but its still steaming towards New Zealand. They usually take 2 weeks at customs.

Its quite amazing....the bugs strike again!
12 months ago I was in the same situation and waiting for my R36 sedan to arrive and after multiple dealer enquiries I was told that the boat had been quarantined in melbourne because of a bug infestation!
It seems things don't change much but cheer up although I got the car three weeks latter it was bug free!!!!!!!!

Not sure, but the due date is the same so it appears there's two different stories for this shipment, bugs for me, sight seeing at Aotearoa for you, I'd ideally like to know which ones correct as I hate being bs'ed to.

Emailed the dealership today to see if there was an update on the car and to see if they had a VIN for me yet... by the way still no reply from them and probably not get one through emails at all... having said that, according to the schedule I got from them a few weeks ago, the car was handed to production on the 31/03 and due to leave the production plant on the 27/04, with a departure from the port on the 10/05. (Which means that the VIN should be available now?)

After checking the shipping schedule, the ship that was due to leave the port on the 10/05 has been brought forward by 3 days and due to leave on the 7th now. What worries me is that if the car is behind schedule the next ship bound for Melbourne will not leave Germany for an extra two weeks and will make the longer trip around the world going through the US route... this will add an extra 8 days to the trip! So in all an extra 3 weeks delay.

Anyone else in the same boat? (excuse the pun)

I have been told my vehicle is in production and have been given a commission number from my dealer today. I ordered in early March this year and was told the planned production schedule is week 17. Looks like they were spot on. However they are not able to give me a VIN number as yet? I guess they will issue the VIN when it is shipped. Hopefully not too long to go.

My VIN is finally working!!

The new love of my life is on the OBERON. Looks like it is due to leave La Havre France today for the UK.

The dealer told me 27 May for arrival in Aus. Seems it must have been delayed, now due 31 May. I am guessing mid June delivery??

At least now I can track it

I was told by my dealer that mine was leaving Bremerhaven on 22nd April, but there were no ships leaving on this day! I have my VIN, but not showing up on the Track and Trace website yet. So, mine is either on the Oberon or the Asian Dynasty - both are due in Melb around 30/31st May. If you are really obsessive, like most of us , you can track via ship name and it's ETA into the next port via Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions. It kinda adds to the pain of waiting, but can't help it!

I was given my VIN and according to the schedule the dealership provided me, it will arrive at the ports on the 26th April and was due to depart Bremerhaven on the 4th May... and there is no ship leaving on that day! From what I can see is, the QUEEN SAPPHIRE sailing on the 30th April (I doubt mine will make it on this one). After that there is the TIJUCA which departs on the 5th May and the TOSCANA which departs on the 7th May.

In addition to this, the TIJUCA is arriving in Melbourne on the 22nd of June while the TOSCANA, although departing later, will arrive in Melbourne on the 16th June. What makes me even further confused is that the schedule is showing an ETA in Melbourne on the 15th June...

Oh well I suppose I will have to wait till my VIN shows up on the tracking system...
