How to track the car you have ordered?

You would think waiting for the ship to dock was the most painful part of this process but really it's waiting for your car once the ship has docked going on 12 business days now and it's the worst part!

It was maybe Friday then Monday or maybe Tuesday. It's not Dermot holding it up that's for sure as I can imagine he is getting tired of my emails lol but I guess Patricks who seem to do the pre-delivery of the vehicle.

I do know several people that were able to collect their cars on Thursday/Friday of last week through other dealerships and there are several Rs sitting in the wangara dealership just not mine, hoping patricks hasn't damaged my car hence the longer delay or maybe they are just keeping my car to see how long I can last before breaking down and begging for it who knows.

LOL that is commitment! I emailed the dealer this morning asking which dock I can collect my car from.

I'll take it wrapped in plastic and all!

still waiting for ours to get to the dealership. Might go to their holding yard today. If so, may not be until Friday this week, which means it will be Friday next week before we can collect, as I fly back to work on Thursday.

OK update time.....My R was on Faust which arrived in Melbourne on Saturday 6/11. Today (7 days later) my dealer called me to advise that Patrick Autocare took delivery of my car on Tues 9/11 for compliance. It should be only 7-10 days from 9/11, till dealer gets vehicle. Dealer only needs vehicle for 24 hours, before I can take delivery! Yes, were in the home stretch, some 5 months since I ordered her.

16/11 Dealer phoned, car on transport from Patricks Autocare to dealeraship. Dealer expects car delivery today or tomorrow with handover this Friday or Saturday. But will confirm! Only 3 or 4 more sleeps

I purchased from a country dealer; Massaro Motors in Morwell. Wonderful service, Best allocation and Good deal! Besides my friend ordered his R from there and they're honest!

I spoke to my dealer not 30 minutes ago updating me on my Faust'd R and before I saw Darren's update. I was told late next week! Morwell's a lot further away from the port than my dealer! But Darren, very happy for you and look forward to your post delivery posts!

Well here's a quick one with the phone, couldn't wait to jump in and drive it only thing I can really pick on is those little plastic things above the wheel arches aren't stuck down properly and you can see the glue but apparently it's like that on all of them.

I'm in Sydney and my GTI was FAUSTed as well.
My Dealer in Wollongong says my car should be ready Monday or Tuesday next week.
I'm just locking in a date - hopefully have an answer tomorrow.

The little wings that get fitted with 19's? Fairly sure you can just take them off?
