Im new here. I ordered an R yesterday through a dealer in NSW.
The dealer told me its a 5mnth wait (March-April) for arrival. Does that sound right? Is their stock planned to come in around that time?
Hi veedubber. Welcome to the forums.
You only need to ask a question in one thread. Asking in two places just causes mess! So you've been answered in the other place.
As for how you can track it, read the first post. It'll be a few months before you need to worry about that though.
Cheers.
Guys, FYI the Melbourne Ports schedules has Morning Camilla arriving tomorrow (tues) at 08:30am and departing Wed at 08:00. Only 19 hours to go before us Southern boys get our wheels on Auusie dirt !
For those desperate enough, here's the Webcam tracking link. Camera 1 gets the first look on Ship arrivals:

I asked my dealer for the VIN number for my order and was told that this could not be provided for "insurance reasons". Does this sound right? Has anyone else received this as a reason for being refused access to the VIN number?
I'm not sure whether it's insurance reasons or not, but yes, the dealer has the right to not provide the VIN until you've paid for the car in full. They're also under no obligation to provide any screenshots or information from NADCON.
It'll be docking at Appleton Dock D. Which means it will cross the paths of Webcam 1, 2 and 3, but then be out of view since Webcam 4 isn't pointed at any of the actual docks!
You would think waiting for the ship to dock was the most painful part of this process but really it's waiting for your car once the ship has docked going on 12 business days now and it's the worst part!
