How to track the car you have ordered?

Do you know which boat it was on? Mine was on the TAIKO which docked on the 19th.
I am seriously not expecting it till the end of the 1st or 2nd week in June.
If your car landed in Brisbane a week ago, I can't see how they can get it processed by tomorrow as it takes a good 7-10 days in processing before it's even sent to the dealer.

however i got told that it landed on the 17th - which is contradictory to the search!

any way - cheers for the input. i spoke to Patrick, and they can't tell me anything as the car is "allocated to a dealership" what ever that means!!

It was definitely in port on Saturday (21st) and I didn't have my VIN before then so I don't know before that.

I would be starting the clock from today and expecting it to be at least 3 weeks.
Any sooner and it's a bonus. (depends on which order the dealer prepares them, what dealer options are being added etc)

Oh and Patricks wont tell you a thing probably.
They handle 1000's of cars/containers daily. The last thing they need is everyone waiting on a car calling them up.
If they did give you an answer it would be nothing more than the tracking website would tell you I would guess.
Remember you aren't their customer, even the dealer isn't their customer, it's Volkswagen Australia and VAG.

Similar situation I'm facing with my dealer. The Toreador docked on the 6th yet the dealer insists that the stock controller says the 10th.
I've been told that the vehicle is now in dealer transport so they should receive it within 4 days and I'll see it maybe next week

well the time difference between the 24th and the 30th is a week so it is not like it is months.. generally it is at Patricks for 10 days then they have to get it delivered. The Dealer tells me that they have no idea until Patrick's ring them to tell them what truck and day it is being delivered. Once that happens they are in control.

Really? My dealer said when he called me that he "logged into the system" and my car was ready to go on the back of the truck. Don't dealers have logins to the Patrick website?

I guess I can't complain - I'm picking up my car tomorrow!

My car is on the Morning Carol, due in Melbourne 25 May. I hope my car doesn't get held up in the Warf dispute that is brewing.

Mine is on the Morning Carol also, due at Port Kembla on 28 May. My dealer has always quoted mid June for me to take delivery. The MC was originally due 27 May at Port K, but it has lost one day, which is not bad considering how far it has travelled....

MC should be getting close to Melbourne port as we speak - I hope my delivery is not affected by Patrciks either. I am being extra wary of delays, tricks etc as my dealer has extended the free on road, or similar discount to me also recently but the car needs to be delivered to me before end of June.

the tamesis has spent the last 12 days at the same port 'zeebrugge' and its still there!! wtf seems that something is wrong by the look of that.. docking date at melbourne has blown out by over a week now

edit: seems to be moving now.. still it spent almost 2 weeks at the one port

Well Patrick's went on strike today for a week.
My car (and a few others on here) was on the TAIKO which docked on Saturday in Brisbane. Probably flip a coin to see if it made it through or not. Those waiting for cars off the TAIKO in Port Kembla I would say definitely add an extra week.
The report the other day was that they would be walking off work from processing containers, but the wharfies are pretty tight and I would dare say all of them would walk off the job.

Update: Only in Brisbane, Sydney and Fremantle.

Bugger.. my dealer had a sale over the weekend - a free iPad2 with all cars sold that weekend & delivery before end May.

I'm picking mine up on Friday after waiting 5 months... what's the likelihood of me scoring an iPad2?!? prob zero i imagine -the deal is already done
