'Hypothetical' haha. I hear you get decent gains, but at can you justify the 1k you'll have to spend on changing things. Not to mention the uncommon supply of it around.- Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold

Have a read through one of Peter Jones's threads about his race car. Pretty certain he did the swap to e85. Or was it from e85 ......Originally posted by MarcusAurelius View PostOkay, any of you guys have experience with e85 and carbs???1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html

It was to E85, but not through carbs. Mark, go talk to Weber Performance again and see what they say. I know you need to increase jet sizes by around 30% to cope with the fuel demands, but beyond that I have no idea.Originally posted by sports racer View PostHave a read through one of Peter Jones's threads about his race car. I imagine new fuel pump (not cheap eBay crap like we use), new fuel lines and hoses. Doesn't seem too hard as long as you don't mind using a tank of fuel every 200kms77 Mk1 GLS 2 door - That sinking feeling
