      • Are the current door seals non existent or split or just rubbish?? If not, and theyre just loose or come unglued, you could just glue them back in place?

Either that or ive misread somewhere here they were unsalvageable haha

Nonexistent haha they were thrown out when i pulled them out in 50 million pieces might try speedracers idea with foam instead of rubber.

Foam is pretty pourous and not totally water resistant though surely? Or would it be enough of each to keep water out? :/

                  • To be honest, its not for water. I only get minimal water when i wash the car. The gutters keep the water out when it rains. Its really just for wind

oh in that case foam would definitely do the job, depending on the type of course!

                        • You get much in the cabby? The roof rack would surely make a ****load of noise haha

                          • Dude.... You've gone all this way not to invest in seals. Mark man just do it. $300 is a small price to pay for something that's designed right and will make a hell of a difference in comfort. Your mk1s awesome and deserves the best.

                            • Nah 300 is too much man! Good for me, mk5 4door rubbers work! they are a tad big so closing the doors take a TAD more effort but it doesnt bother me, and only set me back $30!!!

                              • Mk1 ... mk5. Mk1? mk5? Where is the connection hahaha, how does 30 years difference mean no difference in door seals.

                                Many confusions
