Nice work - I managed a best of 1:45.XX with my GTI last year with the 2E engine, but I was having over heating issues, racing in summer didn't help either. Good to see it get out thereAudi S3 8L - Stroker GTX3582 700bhp+

I'd like to get in the 1:4x.xx with a rear sway bar and decent tyres. Cheers for the word bruh [emoji108][emoji108]

I ran 205/55 on a 14x6 wheel on the cabby and it was sweet man. Although you could feel a tad of tyre wall flex in extreme cornering, even though the tyres were semi's.
Id still rate 14s though, look very period correct!- Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold
- Golf mk1 Swallowtail rebuild, completely stripped
- Brown U.S import 81 cabby
- 88 Honda crx b18cr

I've just read the whole thread from stat to finish. Makes good reading how it's progressed from a standard 1.6 with rust to what you have today. Well done.
I couldn't see anything about a rear sway bar, did you ever get round to fitting one?
That and a lower strut brace make a big difference to how well you go round corners.
Cheers

The car and I have come a long way these past few years.
The car currently doesn't have any bracing or swaybars whatsoever yet.. but I'm saving all that for a rainy day. I have a rear sway bar that nseeds some links made up and I plan to make front and rear top strut braces and a front lower brace along with some A pillar and roof repairs. all in good time. First and foremost, I need to address my wheel alignment (mostly the rear to :/ ...) decent bucket seats and I've been on the eternal quest for the perfect wheels.. so I gotta sort that out haha

A proper fitting bucket seat will give you a huge boost in driver confidence, especially when you're not holding onto the wheel for dear life- Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold

Spend your money of brakes, handling and seat time before you get some fancy track tyres.
Well done and im enjoying your updates!
Seating will be taken care of, most likely a pair of saas fixed back seats. Car Handles well but will need to spend time in that department. My goal after all this is to win a bet of producing 100+fwkw without spending over $500 hehe:/:/ gonna be quite a task
