so how come i can't get it to work then?? supposed to be an easy hook up, connect all the wires as per diagram and bam, supposed to work...well not in my case

i mean everything else with the mib unit is spot on, all works except the camera.

is it a matter of setting up some key adaptations in 5F module?? or just this particular camera just plainly won't work in my 6R.

SO in that case i can just return it, and get the t-roc 2GD....part # that Kamold suggested....it's only $180 canadian on ailexpress

Hmmm....... OK that makes sense - but I'm not sure what is meant by "approximate" high-line lines?

No offense intended, but isn't this a bit like being "approximate" dead (meaning that either the high-line lines are displayed and usable, or they are NOT)?

AND, if the high-line lines are displayed and usable on the low-line camera - why would anyone buy the seller's high-line camera option?

Again, no offense intended in my request for clarification - I'm simply trying to understand these non-OEM cameras

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the wider expertise of other forum members! Thank you.

No offense taken. These aftermarket cameras are interesting units, some have better than OEM picture quality, but as there is no way to calibrate or load parameters like the OEM units, so they have been made with a one size fits all. the lines move but might not show the path of the car 100% or the distances with the lines correct to the car.

Still they are pretty good, am I probably would of kept mine, but I ended up pinching the video cable and breaking it.

i checked, i don't have such parameter to choose in adaptation; now what??

You don't have a PDC module so you need to disable PDC adaptations:

and these 3 are already NOT ACTIVATED....or as you call them DISABLED

                • ok so i got the T-roc 2GD 827 469 low res RVC, now what??? how do i hook it up

i know where the blue wire goes, it goes to the reverse light and there is well as the blk and clear (which go to the blue connector)

but there is another black connector that looks like the wires brown and purple would go into (don't know which wire goes to what pin yet), but WHERE does that connector plug into??

and there is also a green/black wire that has a pin attached to it and DON"T know exactly where that one goes either....POWER maybe?? and if so is it constant power or SWITCHED power??

i've attached some pictures of all this

                  THANKS again in advance.

                  • This is how the power is connected:
                    KL30=constant power
                    KL31=ground

so in my situation/application, which wire is the KL30 and which one is KL31

i have a BROWN wire as well as a PURPLE wire which i assume they to to that black 2 pin connector, but i don't know which wire goes to which pin

and then i have green with a black stripe wire that has a metal pin crimped to it and i DON"T know where that one goes either

                      thanks.

                          • ok today i tried to install this t-roc RVC but what i don;t understand is WHERE is this set up getting the 12V constant power to the rear emblem?? i measured the voltage or checked for voltage at the 2 pin connector ( see attached picture) and i DON"T get the 12V constant there.

i've hooked up the green 12V switched wire, the blue one to the reverse light, but i'm at a loss that there is NO 12V constant at the factory 2 pin at the back.

how did the original emblem work then using that 2 pin connector??? as before i was able to open up the trunk without any issues??

                            what am i missing here??

                            thanks again in advance.

                            • You put those terminals into that connector in your hand, and plug that into the one under your thumb.

i did that after i posted the reply, as i "gambled" that that is where it SHOULD go adn nothing happened.

i closed the trunk and then when i wanted to open it again i couldn't. WHERE is the RVC supposed to get 12 constant power??

funny thing, that after i unplugged that particular connector and plugged it into the stock OEM emblem, while inside the car in the trunk and pushed the emblem, the trunk opened.....but it will NOT open with the T-roc assembly/RVC/emblem

so my question is, WHERE is the stock OEM emblem getting it's 12V constant power?? so that the trunk opens when the stock OEM emblem is used?

so i'm at a loss....is there a SETTING now i have to do with vagcom now that i'm using the T-roc assembly???

                                to recap

-green wire is connected to a switched 12V
-the brown wire and purple wire are pushed into the black connector that came with the RVC and it is mated to the factory connector/plug
-the 2 wires black and clear go to the blue connector at pin 6 and 12
-blue wire is connected to the reverse light
