    Thanks Kamold!

I was looking for something else (how to change the mirror heater to come on with the rear demister - still looking) and came across info on updates to the SW version. I'm sure Kamold said mine can't as of the way the MIB2 has been wired into my Mk5.

If it can, I'm on MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0367T and mibhelper.com says I can go to MST2_EU_VW_PQ_R0604T. Mr-fix says that if it is a 'T' Technisat you can't update from a 03 to 06 - you have to stay within the same range number. Although there is a work around.
Question is, is it worth it? What does upgrading get me?

For the OPS display, you will need to put the 7N0 gateway back in and then check the following adaptation channels in 5F infotainment:

    ENG122229-ENG117742-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-SWA_0x1A - change to "activated"

    ENG122229-ENG117743-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-SWA_0x1A_msg_bus - change to "Terminal 15"

    ENG122228-ENG117686-Car_Function_List_CAN_Gen2-PDC_audio_lowering_msg_bus - change to "Terminal 15"

    ENG122227-ENG117496-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_pdc - change to "Activated"

    ENG122227-ENG117499-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_pdc_standstill - change to "Activated"

    Hello VW mates,

I'm still working on my VW Golf MK6 Discover Media PQ rétrofit and I ordered a wiring harness adapter on Ali and changed the PDC Module.
    The one that I installed has P/N. 1K8 919 472 C.
    I also changed the gateway to 7N0 907 530 BF (S1673 - H55)

As I have no RVC installed, I have the PDC screen working fine, by showing the distance bars and the angle bars.

However, the angle bars they don't move when I turn the steering wheel.
And I would like to have the angle bars moving, if possible. (as on the picture in attachment)

Will this adaptation procedure mentioned by Kamold, make them work?

Can you please guide me on how to activate it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes indeed, and maybe in the future a patch will be found to fix it (perhaps with a firmware update...)

Another thing, do you know if it's possible to get displayed the information of the "Since refuelling" Menu ?

I managed to activate the information of the "Since start" menu and on the "Long term" menu, but I can't find where to activate the one for the "Since refuelling menu"... , if there is a way to activate it...

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Good morning mates,

any idea if it's possible to get displayed the information of the "Since refuelling" Menu, after having done the Discover Media PQ retrofit on my Golf MK6 ?
Is there a way to activate it or any coding?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately I don't have the skills to do such kind of job.
I thought that it would be easier to get this standby clock issue fixed.
    Thanks anyway.

You need to read/write the eeprom directly.
So either desolder it from the board and read in an external reader, or some in circuit tools with clips may work.

    Okay.
Well, I have mib2 toolbox installed on my PQ unit.
Would it be possible to edit the eeprom through the toolbox?

Is there a patch that can be installed to fix it?

    I have also a VAG K + Commander câble.
If it's doable with that, can you please guide me on how to do it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

The mqb HMI has been 'borrowed' and shoehorned into the pq unit.
Not all functions work due to the overhaul of the CAN functions and messaging etc

    kamold : Hi.

I don't doubt your advice and it's certainly true that the differences between MQB platform and PQ25/35 platform cars are not insignificant - but why can't OP's problem be solved by using the manual function in the MIB (i.e. MENU: Settings time and date)?

    Don

You have to edit the eeprom if you want to fix that.

    Hi Kamold,

    thanks for your feedback.
Okay, then I know why now.

    I have another issue:

the stand by clock, shows me a strange date when I put the Radio in standby mode.
It shows me 31.01.2047 and I can't find a setting to adjust it...

    Any idea why ?
