The only difference will be the partition ratios which should allow enough room for your maps.

someone the RNS doesnt recognise my .db3 databas

Successfully updated my unit (1T0 035 680 C) to Firmware 40xx earlier this week.
Installed V5 maps and personal POI's via SD Card as well.
Whole process was a snap thanks to the clear and concise instructions provided by "kamold".
My only advice - Be patient - It takes some time.

Would have liked to include the personal POI's on the map disk but my limited IT knowledge prevented me from doing this.
I did try on several occasions but alas I failed and created several coasters.

Just like to take this opportunity to thank "kamold" and "JohnC" for their work.
I can assure you that there are many who appreciate it.

what kind of POI databas did you uploaded? .db3 or different one?
my RNS doesn't recognise my SD Card at all!
i formated the SD FAT32, NTFS nothing makes different please advise, i need the POI

SDCard needs to be FAT32. Are you using POInspect0r to create the .db3 file or are you downloading from someone who has created it?
The file needs to be named PersonalPOI.db3 and needs to be stored in a folder on the SDCard root directory called "\PersonalPOI"

the file i have is originel from the Western Map,
but it calls different and its on EDP folder,
should i rename all?
you mean it should call like this "root"\PersonalPOI\PersonalPOI.db3 ?

does anyway PLEASE has the EU POI with speed cams ?

Jamerson this is a forum mainly used by VW owners in Australia.

We've helped you out a lot I think so far with creating custom firmware etc but as we don't live in Europe I think you are better off waiting to hear from someone from the vwnavi or gpsunderground forums where you have posted similar requests...

I don't mean to sound inhospitable but the other forums are more likely to be able to assist you with local mapping issues.

i found somewhere its could be the databas name, so i am gonna try to reset it,
and get back with the result to help others

I've found a 4020 version which may be suitable for A version units.
Currently downloading it and will attempt to apply it this weekend.
Any chance (if I can get it working on mine) that you can re-organise the partition profile to reflect 90/5/5%?

Yeah I saw that they have done the table swap for 4020 as well.
By all means test it but to be honest I don't know if its worth the trouble...

There are no new features at 402x and haven't really noticed any speed increases as advertised. However it would be worth changing the partition scheme so that you can swap between versions without losing your maps and music.

JohnC has the cable at the moment so he'll have to write the Dlscript.txt file for you for integrate into the firmware image. He's a busy man but he is always very obliging with requests.

Hi all i am having a problem saving music from a CD to the HDD on RNS510 satnav. service center said it is right protected. i have tried making a CD through itunes and media player no luck. they play on the unit no problems any tips thanks. its a new tiguan pacific only two weeks old
