Sandy, what about Android mirroring? Have you heard anything more about this? Will it just be mirroring the display or will it be able to control via the touchscreen like all the new technologies have (ie mirror link, Pioneer App radio (with a tweak), etc)? Any timeline for this?

I have a feeling that due to the fact there are more than 1 reseller in line for the first initial batch of 20 that sandy will get the ones designated for him sent directly to him, and international orders won't be processed till the full release happens

Well I am a bit pissed now as it seems they only just sent out 4 units to international orders today, and supposedly I get tracking for them tomorrow. I've told them that I needed the units out by the end of this week, as I am going away for 11 days starting next Friday (back 4th December), and they told me it wasn't a problem - that was two days ago though.

I've said that if my Australian order is not out by Saturday I will be cancelling the order and getting a refund, and refunding all the customers. DHL takes 3-4 days incl. weekends to ship the package so really it can't come any later than that if I'm to organise it all to be sent out before my holiday. I also threatened to can the entire group buy if they don't pull their act together, let's hope we get some results...

Otherwise tell them they need to ship it direct to the initial batch providing both you and the recipient the tracking numbers. Could be plan b, and takes your trip off the critical path.

I'd prefer this, shipped straight from the factory to me, especially if you're going to be away until December 4 from the end of next week, since it means if they don't come by the end of next i'll be **** out of luck and miss my deadline

Unfortunately, it comes down to numbers. Those with the largest numbers on order will get preferential treatment. It doesn't matter how good or helpful you have been with them, it is a commercial decision and those ordering more will always win over those ordering less. In a perverse way, cancelling the group buy releases the units earmarked for it to those who have ordered more.

Problems like this will always be encountered when you buy off the plan rather than from stock.
