Hi, i have one question, have they improved the SD/USB player to not to repeat the first song of the folder after the last one have been played? I mean, with my previous Kenwood, once you have played the last song of a folder it would automatically go to the next folder, is it like that now??

PS2: Is the trunk handle camera compatible with a Jetta Mk5? Do you have its meassures?

The DNS unit will implement a proper music library like your phone, it will no longer rely on folders.

The boot handle camera measures about 115mm x 48mm, with the distance between the two screws about 68mm. It should fit your Jetta.

Any video yet?

It seems we won't have a video yet since I haven't received any sample units yet. The manager at Audiosources was away from office on business, I will try and track him down. I'm getting a feeling that if the sample unit is being delayed, the DNS unit might be getting a delay too, though this time if that happens the delay shouldn't extend past this month.

Should there be any delays, the non-refundable deposit date will be extended to match the release date.

Yes that's what I mean, the date the deposit becomes non-refundable is also the final date to put down a deposit to join this group buy, and this date will be extended to match the release date of the DNS units. I expect to have a sample unit about a week or so before the release date, which is why I am suspecting a delay. Either way I will make sure those waiting for a demo video will get a chance to look at it and decide before joining the group buy.

Does anyone know what the screen reflectivity is like on these units? My RCD has a matte finish but I vaguely recall reading these have a smooth glass type of screen. Would it reflect light into your eyes when driving?

I don't find any issues with it unless you get the afternoon sun reflecting directly at you, even then it's not a problem unless you stare at it instead of the road.

Ah ok. To be honest my eyes get distracted way too easy, that's why I have the stock unit set on the lowest brightness setting! Looks like an amazing unit though, looking forward to fumbling my way through an install lol For some reason I always end up with spare parts when I take things apart - never have any issues though (so far) :p

Ok guys it seems the delay is confirmed.. date is pushed back to 31 July. Sorry that it's come to a further delay, but I've just been relaying information that Audiosources's manager has been giving me. I will re-evaluate his estimates next time, it seems he gets much too optimistic about them...

In any case the delay means the group buy will also be extended. The date that you must make a deposit by (and also the date that the deposit becomes non-refundable) will be 31 July, and the group buy will close 29 July.

In the mean time, my computer continues to be stubborn but I hope to fix it soon with a new power supply and I will be able to send invoices again after that. I will also update order statuses tomorrow.
