  • WOW, that mount and bearings are cactus. Were they replaced when you installed you H&R springs ?. I only ask as I installed coilovers last weekend and put new mounts & bearings (OEM ones). I'm thinking I should have gone upgraded ones.

I'd be looking at an LSD and brakes before coilovers I reckon.

Too late haha coilovers have been ordered. Brakes are well on the way to being sorted anyway just gotta get some discs, I'll be upgrading the rears to 256mm at the same time. After my run on lakeside on Saturday I think I need to address under hood temps so I'm shamelessly stealing Anthony's idea and have purchased these

No they were replaced about 2.5 years ago when I had the eibachs and bilsteins put in. I think fresh own would be fine. The track density ones don't feel any harsher than stock, feels more planted if anything, felt really good on lakeside

        • Same reccomendation as per Ant's thread:

Have you looked at spacing the back of the bonnet up using washers/nuts like they do in the JDM scene to pull the hot air out the back of the engine bay?

How did it go out there other than the heat issue?

Yeah thought about the spacers and no rubber strip but with these I can put them pretty much over the turbo to let the heat out, plus I think they look pretty tough. Lakeside was really fun, I was taking it very easy but car felt very composed, the rsb really killed the under steer it used to have turning into corners, still scrubs wide under power though, need a diff lol

                • So had a rather un-eventful weekend. Did get around to putting some heat shielding over the turbo and air box though.

Sticker is covering dodgey paint job lol

                  • So installed the kw's on Sunday with the help of Shane (he did most of the work) and all was sweet, had the stance I wanted and no sway bar issues until tonight when dropping my old suspension off I notice a slight noise coming from the front end that got progressively worse. I thought it may be the springs settling and causing the drive shaft but then the steering wheel starting shaking. So I pulled over and I have massive positive camber on front passenger wheel, not good. Starting freaking out that we had forgotten to tighten something or the shock had bent, then I notice 3 of my 5 wheel bolts were missing! triple check wheel bolts people! then I realise I have the wrong size ratchet for the special wheel bolt key so I couldn't do anything. Luckily JustCruisn who had just bought my suspension came to my rescue with tools. i feel like such an idiot, at least I can blame the hangover for the wheel bolts...

                    Smoking kills btw

Also got some presents in the mail yesterday. Anni rear valance and hatch wing
