oh really? what does it do to the parts? does it increase corrosion or something? would a ceramic coating be preferable?

Yeah dose increase corrosion and the ceramic coat is better as it still lets the metal breath

I don't see corrosion going to be a problem on a cast manifold. It might not last forever though. Ceramic coating would be permanent though.

I have seen comments recently that wrapping and ceramic coatings have caused manifolds to crack due to the heat being retained. You can't win?

                • Had some spare time today so i decided to fix the boonet release cable which had been getting worse ever since I installed the wideband. After spending an hour taking trim off and removing the windscreen cowling i discovered the cable had simply come off it's clip. What was really fustrating was that i could have accessed it without even taking anything apart . Then I got bored so I decided to do some sticker bombing

...and a sneaky clean before the euro meet tonight

cheers mate, I used to have both engine covers sticker bombed but the heat destroyed the stickers

Wow that looks terrific. Did you coat it in heat protector or give it a gloss coat? Would that have helped at all without ruining the surface?

I did clear coat it but the actually glue on the stickers is what came loose, If i were to do it again i would spray glue before putting the stickers on

                            • Moar rods arrived today, these ones actually fit

                              I also received this

I originally ordered it because my car had been over boosting then misfiring lately. Turned out the pressure source to the n75 was kinked new line and boost is as smooth and stable as ever . I'll keep this for the gt2871r install just in case it spikes but I doubt I'll need it. It'll up for sale cheap if I dont need it

And just incase anybody is wondering the difference between the rod sizes. The 20mm are on the right

Hey mate, noticed mine spiked at 28 the other day and yet to talk to Gav about it, sounds like I might need to talk to you too. Let me know if you end up using this or not. Cheers and all the best with the build
