Thanks Sharkie, I might take you up on that when the time comes - still a couple of weeks until my van gets here

Sunny is helping me put in some wheelchair mods and has offered to assist with the RNS as well, but we will need some coding assist for sure.

I also got the genuine rear view camera with the guidance lines (7E0907441) - apparently from the same guy (different ebay seller) as the tracking log was identical....can't seem to find any install or wiring guides for that one though....it definitely needs coding to work.

After reading that post I nearly threw away my ability to connect a factory unit what a load of rigmarole , I cannot believe that its so complicated I will repeat the Chinese head unit plugs straight in to factory harness with Can Bus and the camera works out of the box no coding either . But from what I have read the RVC factory has a dedicated plug point in the roof at the rear on a T5 so no splicing required hopefully .Sharkie might get his liquid payment after all .

Okay I am retracting the last comment , don,t you just love YouTube found several very informative videos on fitting the RVC to T5 Multi's so now I will attack Paradox's van with a renewed knowledge !! Oh and it is still off to Sharkie for coding , interesting thought why don't car makers make their cars like a PC put something new in and it comes up with a message that tells you its upgrading , I suppose it could be done via smart phone as a WI FI tether .

Paradox's MFD is the new colour one, looks awesome. RNS510 and RVC now all coded up and working perfectly.

If somebody wants to do a RVC install on a Multivan, talk to Sunny, he did a great job with the install. My contribution in coding was easy by comparison I think.

Yep, all coded and working great many thanks to both Sunny and Sharkie for their assistance, both did a more professional job than I would expect the dealers to do....The colour MFD is pretty good, although as I am a first timer I didn't know it was a new feature until Sharkie pointed it out....

The mirror image on the RVC threw me for a bit until I realised it is supposed to be like that....ie same as looking in the rear vision mirror

Does anyone know if there is any way to get a digital speed readout on the MFD at the same time as the Nav lane info? you really come to rely on the digital speed graphic rather than the dial, but currently can't use it and the Nav screen at the same time.....

Its a MY14 upgrade and not available on base Comfortline FWDs. Comfortline 4Motion and Highlines only.

Like anything an upgrade is possible, though it would be very expensive, think $1500+ and the added benefit would be none. It adds no functionality other than displaying what is there in the white MFD in a prettier fashion. Not worth doing as an upgrade in my opinion.

At the start of this post you showed an RCD510 installed in a T5.2 Multivan. I was wondering what model that unit was as I have read on another post that in order for the steering wheel controls to work you have to use the 5K0035190A as opposed to the 5K0035190. Did you have any problems with the steering wheel controls?

Its a MY14 upgrade and not available on base Comfortline FWDs. Comfortline 4Motion and Highlines only.

Funny thing, in currently on Hamilton Island and they have a fleet of Multivans in highline trim and I've been checking out the differences to mine and I noticed the colour MFD.

What makes it even more amazing now is that if that only came out in MY14 it makes the 80,000km odd the one I was in even more impressive on a van that runs back and forth on a small island

I'm still wondering what some of the button blanks on the dash do since there were still a few on the highline.

Look I suppose it's possible but from my discussions they seem to have been all new to them. That and do Taxi's usually buy Highline trim?? And sell them off after only one year?

Bit of a waste to have what I assume is a twin turbo engine and RNS510 in a vehicle that runs up and down the same roads at 35km/h...

...mind you it's not a bad place to sit as a passenger

Yes it would seem a waste , reminds me of our honeymoon trip to Norfolk Island the local police had V8 powered XB Falcon wagon , on an island 8km long 5 km wide with only 80kays of total road with a maximum speed limit of 50 kmh .

Howdy all, fitted my RCD510 today. Took all of ten minutes. Very happy. All seems to work perfectly. One thing though, Is it possible to change the pic when the optical sensors are used? Its a bit weird seeing a passat/golf etc when its fitted to a Multivan.
