Thank you for the replies and yes I have replaced pullies have had the van inspected by VW specialists and no reports of imbalances or other issues , it can only be described as a gremlin in the system . This was resolved only after ABC TV saw my complaint to VW on their Facebook pages , at the time VW were being investigated for a death of a young lady in Victoria whose Golf suddenly lost all drive and came to a sudden unintended stop in front of a semi trailer which hit the car . RGHO this is not an "act of god" as we have like many others found VWs technology to be massivly flawed and whats worse VW know that , explain why VW make a divider to prevent the possible failure of the serpentine belt tangling with the timing belt but dont tell anyone about that ? a $45...Leave a comment:

Ok to clarify some aspects of the situation 2012 T5.1 Turbo diesel , yes I am certain its the BCM as the current problem is identcal in every way to what happened afew years ago . I am hating VW
For the second time in around 6 or 8 years it looks like the BCM in our van has gone to lunch , six years ago we lost interior and parking lights with no apparent reason . Yes I did replace them and they were working fine , I did plug in one of the old ones and same result . One oddball thing is I tested the trailer plug and found a signal on only one pin when the tail lights indicators etc were on .
