Have a look at my OEM Radio options pictures, there's pictures in there of the iPhone 3GS connected to the premium BT showing on the RCD & RNS screens. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...ery-54477.html I'll take some more pics tonight and post them.

I'm saying replace the premium control unit with another. Don't downgrade to std as it is not guaranteed to work either ....

I'd be going to the dealer and testing my iphone with all the T5.2s on the lots and then when I find 1 thats working get them to swop it out.

Do you have the latest OS on your iphones? or just the standard OS that came with the phones?
Many have the premium kit and it works fine with the iphone 3gs and 4.

Joined this forum several months ago, mainly lurking in the background, researching for our purchase of a VW Multivan, also our first VW. I must say, I found as many on the forum have stated , that it is difficult to find a dealer that meets with your customer service expectations including VW Aust who are not great at suppling information either.
It really is down to the individual Salesperson you get on first contact. However, thanks to the recommendations on this forum we ended placing our MV order with Wes Bond. He has been a pleasure to deal with so far, knows his product , was straight forward about prices and delivery.

Ended up with the following order:

          Model
          Multivan Comf.sw103 7at 7EMC37
Exterior Colour Toffee Brown Metallic 4Q4Q
          Interior colour Anthracite/Anthracite-Anthracite/Anthracite ZH
          Equipment Multi-function table 1U3
Exterior mirrors: electrically folding, electrically adjustable, separately heated 6XP
With multimedia for external use 9WE
          "Premium" cell phone preparation Z1H
Multi-function leather steering wheel with controls for radio and cell phone

Wes supplied us with screenshots of our orders progress from NADCON. All his estimates about delivery appear spot on . May even arrive a little earlier than estimated.... we will see.

We can now see our MV is on the Ship the "Undine" . currently in port Southampton UK coming around the Cape via reunion to Oz. Should be fun tracking its long journey to OZ ETA Port Kembla 10/08/2011

          Cheers
          John

Our MV arrived on the Undine yesterday 12/08/11 and was discharged from the ship at 13:58. Not bad going considering the distance and amount of ports on the way. I guess, now its about 3 weeks +/- 1 week to pickup. I noticed on the VIN number that it has a C
which means its a MY12 model - WV2ZZZ7HZCH. Does anyone know what has actually been done in the factory for the T5 MY12 change "Trailer Wiring Preparation, similar to Amarok. This is a fantastic change, cutting fitting time substantially for the Accessories towbar and wiring kit." How do they save so much fitting time and will it reduce the cost

I'm picking mine up on friday, but its a MY11. its getting a towbar fitted before I pick it up, the salesman told me that in order to fit the VW wiring harness they basicly have to pull out half the interior. As the harness goes up the back corner and along the roof then down again, Apparently this makes the fitting time of the towbar about 10-12 hrs work. I said thats nuts, they should just put the harness in when the make the bloody thing! to which his reply was, thats what the MY12 will have.
So just on labour I would say fitting this option has to be cheeper, let alone the cost of the harness.

Yeah Big Dave, I found this Accessory list (Jun 2010) on the net that includes the recommended fitting time . The way I read it , if the time units are minutes. Then its over 425 minutes just to do the towbar & Wiring Loom . If the MY12 prep is the wiring loom installed during manufacture, that would certainly save some time

                  2009 T5 128 kw twin sliding doors 2 seat.

I am looking for towbar with step, roof racks, cargo barrier and another seat 1, 2, or 3 seater, or a bench seat for the front.

I am a HandyMan on the GC hence the need for all the add on's.

The new model years always begin in August of each year.
Traditionally, Europeans have their month long vacation at the end of July. During this time, the factories tool up for the new model year.

                            Not happy Jan

As per below original order for new T5 van, was quoted ~5 months delivery.
Original sales person quit job, new guy tells me maybe Feburary 2012 !!!!
Claims VW manufacturing is delayed.... apparently its not even built yet after 5 months!!
Anyone else heard this verbal nonsense? 8-9 months for a VAN!!!
Takes less to get a private jet built!!

My thinking is they failed to order it, or havn't been paying their VW bills, and got knocked back.

                            Thoughts on this please.

But to be quoted 5 months, then receive zero info till delivery date, then be told wait another 4 months!?
                                Its bloody rude.
