Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Purchased a race seat,

    Need to fit that, fit my harness, give the car a service before it goes into the panel beaters and get the gauges wired up. Then car is as ready as it can be atm for VW Nats.

      Packed the Polo with the new parts, ready to be installed. Informed install was not happening today... Wish I had my new setup for the long weekend...

        I now have a nice quiet polo got a CES muffler fitted instead of the cannon

          Figured out I'll need to change my rotors at next service.

          How much should a set of OEM rotors cost? Weighing up the cost compared to upgrading to the 312mm ECS rotors

            Double demerits! I purposely put off purchasing new bits till after Easter because there's too much temptation to push the car a bit harder as soon as new parts are installed!

                    Got my Whiteline rear swaybar fitted, or should i say I fitted it lol

                    After a few hours, seeing as I thought i knew what i was doing and didnt look at the instructions lol

                          Hmm didnt really notice that much difference, I think the polo turns in quite well standard.
                          At the moment it is on the middle setting, need to go to the hardest maybe. I had a whiteline swaybar on my VR6, it was great, night and day difference, but then again, the VR6 is very heavy in the front and hard to get it to turn in

                                Put a new battery in after the car failed to start... Getting the cage on top of the battery off was a nightmare!!!
