Thanks guys, I was looking up and comparing pics of the apr ko4 kits for the 1.8T from the US and those of the BW/kkk ko4 and look the same with all markings etc etc etc. But is the apr one the standard one ko4 or is it the hybrid type? Website doesn't say. So tempted to get it done before the long drive from Melb to Gold Coast.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It should be the K04-001. If you are interested in a better turbo (many out there), have a look at the Franken Turbo products. I think their hardware is very good, all quality gear but different parts worked to get the most out of it.
Not cheap tho...

Well, it wasn't today, but over the weekend.
I have a girlfriend here from the USA visiting at the moment, so we went on a bit of a road trip to show her around. Saturday we drove up the coast from Townsville all the way up to Cape Tribulation. We spent the night up there, then on the Sunday we drove back down though Mossman, then up though one of the best roads in Australia to Mt Malloy, then though Mareeba, Atherton, then spent the night in Yungaburra. Monday morning we drove down to Milla Milla Falls, then on to Paronella Park, then back down to Townsville... It was a great weekend...
