Damn, my mechanic was looking to charge me a few hundred due to the time it would take to get the subframe out and press the new ones out / old ones in.
Anyone else have a price on the work?
The Sub Frame dosn't need to come out at all...Only need to undo the 3 16mm bolts that hod the Torque Arm in, press out the old bush in a vice or Abour Press, and press in the new one.
It took me about 10 minutes all up from pulling the Torque Arm out to bolting it back in.

went to get new rubber put on, but apparently illegal to fit 205/50/16 on the polo gti wheels without making it uninsurable.
But luckily option1 were happy enough to swap them over for the correct ones, so tomorrow is the day. Can recommended the guys at option1, very easy to deal with and quick service.
drove to sydney and back earlier this week- my little hairdresser's car impressed me yet again.
me, mum, and dad, plus luggage and **** from melbourne that we were delivering to my sisters in sydney, with the air con on coldest, and those solid 3km hills in nsw didnt phase the pog. cars that gave up trying to overtake me uphill (as in they move out from behind to overtake the slow small car with too much load in it, i move forward abit, they stay in the right hand lane in the presumption that the car'll lose momentum in a few more hundred meters etc etc) included 2.0 tdi passat, vy holden s and the like.
the pog even got a surprising nod of approval "uh, man, this thing actually goes pretty good- have you thought about going in some hillclimbs?" from my cousin who drives a sweet sweet modded s15 spec R with full kit, those famous dimpled 5 spoke volk wheels, aftermarket ecu, exhaust, fmic, coilies and brakes etc etc.
Well today bath, buff, and fluff, oh ya gloss pillars, rabbit emblems, widen stance, droped her to the ground (well as low as I can go) with the new kw v1 inox coilovers.
are they both damper and heigh adjustable? how low can you go?
yes a complete package and if you were showing her, not driving you could drop her another 20 mm easy. would not drive her that low with the 18's and 225/35 rubber as she would rub her plastics off, but damn she looks hot. one day ill post pics with her that low. Cheers
