Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

CTVVGX004 or so I believe, you can get it from UK ebay or a number of other places. Think it was Connect2 (brand)? With current exchange rate was a bit under $80 delivered.

      Short thread on topic here

I have head unit keys, think it could be tricky to install without them.

Thanks. So since this model is aux-only, it doesn't charge the iPhone right? & songs won't display on the stock Polo head unit?

Its not a Ipod adapter, it just provides a 3,5mm, TRS Jack (headphone connection).

No functionality, just a way to get noise from a small device into the Cars audio system.

                • Purchased from noone the Forge TIP and Forge Intercooler to Throttle Body (what's the abbreviation for this pipe ?? ICTB ??) pipes

Now I just need my APR R1 DV to arrive and organise a day to install that stuff and my Cupra R front lip .... so much for not needing to spend money on the GTI

It's going to be a long week waiting for a day off

                  • Got my cupra r front lip put on....looks sweet. Surprisingly really easy to do, especially if you have a hoist and don't have to take the front bar off

I'll post up some pics when I next wash the car.

Oh... and I also ordered a pair of Pirelli P-Zero Nero's for the front. My driver's side Marangoni Zeta Linea has a deep side wall split the WHOLE WAY AROUND.... apparebtly very dangerous. I've only had them for 12 months old with about 50% tread left so Jax are sending them back to Marangoni for assessment, he's pretty confident I'll get some re-imbursement for the purchase of my new tyres.
