  • congrats greggo,

yeah it does take a while to settle in and calibrate itself to your driving.

wait until you get a nice cold dry night then you will be completely confident that it was money well spent.

    • Cheers Kiel. Had procrastinated on the chip since late 08.. way too long! But all good now. Just a shame it's meant to be wet weather on and off for the next week. But i did get a good 50km in this avo, 2nd and 3rd gear are crazy.. Think i'm starting to get this mod addiction that everyone on here seems to have, spent 2k in the last week (springs + drop links + chip)

      • Thats a healthy place to start Greggo.

A rear sway bar will do wonders for cornering.

The Seat intake will help your car breathe better for the extra power.

Plenty of other bits to think about when youre ready (or your bank account is)

Try some Ferodo 5ks, should be around $500 a set, should stay alive for the lifetime of plain street driving too.

          • Aren't the Ferrodo 5000's track pads (dont bite when cold)?

            • Bought some toys:
              Forge TIP and other hose
              Forge front strut brace
              AP Coils

Should be ready for some serious driving and maybe if I decide to go back to the track, I'll only be a brake overhaul away from good times!

Those are the two next mods i was thinkin of, RSB seems to be good bang for buck from what i've read. Plus might look into some new or bigger brakes..
The wee beast sure has changed a hell of a lot in the last week (performance + handling).. your's sounds like its coming along quite nicely

Yeah, thought I was done, but looks like i've got a bit to do still...

IMO bigger or aftermarket brakes (rotors and pads atleast) are great for track work (really a necessity I've discovered), but I'm not sure I see the point in this upgrade for street driving.
