Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Well, whadaya know. It makes a difference. 3" Dump into standard cat. Car comes on boost really easily and smoothly now. Almost doesn't feel as fast but is faster? (I guess there isn't that sudden lurch onto boost now)

    Boost seems to have gone up too, touching 20psi in third. Maybe because it's a 30 degree day

      get a hiflow cat put on when i did my exhaust i was more impressed with the power i gained then i was when i first got the apr tune the tune i got was the stage 2 tune made for a testpipe and sai delete was mellow and boost spikes all over the place tell i got the exhaust on there was mental

            Cleaned my MAF sensor and throttle body in the hopes of fixing a weird fluctuating idle thing I have..

            Bit of oil residue in there but nothing too much.

            Sadly it seems to be worse now than before lol

              Throttle body reset probably help.

                Yeah hope so.

                Wonder if I also got a bit of sand or something on the gasket too, it took a bit of a tumble onto the driveway. Easy enough to check

                            I've booked to run at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 22nd with a fellow Golf-R. I haven't ran SMSP yet, so very keen to do so.

                                put on the H&R spings today with me mate the back springs took 10 minutes to do and the front springs omg they was a pita to do but in the end they are soooo worth it made a big differences in handling me and my mate couldnt get over how much better it is on the corners couldnt be happier
