we hired a sedan to take a skid pan day, yup, bloody awful. We had changed the tyres to a set of Yoko's, A drives I think. Was actually very difficult to drift the thing as the speed was so slow and absolutely no feel where the tyres were and the level of grip.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

still feeling good about the polo at mallala on saturday , suprised alot of drivers on how quick it was. The track was pretty damp so esp went on alot. Outdrove a subaru , integra , sprinter , down the straights there wasn't much in it with any cars including a f360 ( which took 9 laps to overtake me ) . Tyres were pretty trashed to begin with so traction was a slight problem - fuel all good just used 98 plus octane booster ( nulon ) , still pretty happy as after the day the fuel economy was 17.6l / 100 not bad when the average speed was 79km AVG. Best time posted was 1:37 , should be alot better next time with some sticky rubber and a dry track.

Wow what mods have you done to your car, if it is nearly as fast as a F360 down the straight, you must have a huge turboOriginally posted by woosh73 View PostOutdrove a subaru , integra , sprinter , down the straights there wasn't much in it with any cars including a f360.MODS- TOO MANY

lol, that's not what he wrote about the f360. it took the F360 9 laps to over take. Very respectable to be within 10secs a lap of such a focused (and expensive) car. I did QR on the weekend and was dusting clubsport R8's and Audi S3's by at least 5secs a lap, was around 3secs a lap slower than an R32 GTR skyline, but in saying that, the audi and holden drivers were far from confident so can't really claim much. As long as everyone comes of the track with a smile and little less tread on the tyres, that's what its all about.Originally posted by vwthunder View PostWow what mods have you done to your car, if it is nearly as fast as a F360 down the straight, you must have a huge turboTrack Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Don't get too carried away here boys and girls... i can get a 1:37 out of a 1300cc mini in the wet.
The new motor has done a 1:28 in the dry.
I'm hoping for a mid-to-low 1:24 in my pog.
Still, full points for getting out there and into it, instead of Belair Road!Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Choose two.

down the straights there wasn't much in it with any cars including a f360, even if it did take 9 laps to overtake i dont know how it would have the same speed as a F360 on the straightOriginally posted by seangti View Postlol, that's not what he wrote about the f360. it took the F360 9 laps to over take. .

hit a piece of chep pallet board on the F3 (near the mooney mooney exit) northbound at 5:30am today... took a chunk out of the inside RHF rim, annihilated the tyre, and snapped the RHR rim in two, also annihilating the tyre
NRMA wouldnt cover it as a breakdown (tow was $140), and to make it worse, the media was saying on the traffic reports that i put it into a wall
not what happened !!
not good when ive had my pog for a week driving from melb to brisbane

You can claim against the RTA or councils if there is something wrong with the road (pot holes, road work where they've left gravel all over the place etc), but I'm not sure you could claim against them when someone has lost part of their load and you've run into it. It does suck though, sorry to hear you had these troubles.

To me its the same thing as an person falling on a sidewalk due to a stuffed paver or fallen tree branch - the council is liable?
