The brakes on the polo were crap - at least i know now that IF i ever need the car to stop hard, its going to stop and keep me safe. In the past two weeks I've had a few close calls all due to other peoples idiotic choices they make whilst driving. I had a guy slam his brakes on at 60 in the rain to miss a plastic bag! Thankfully i kept a safe distance due to the rain but i still needed to brake hard. Hence the upgrade, its not all about racing and driving fast.

No Why's needed, just do it.
They from Fuzion's GTI? Look good, but better on my car (although mine were ex from Pierre as well).
Polo std brakes are fine until hot, they do take a bit of squeeze to get them to bite hard.
Has Bruno sold his Polo? Assuming you know him...

N249 bypass has made a big difference, the turbo is coming on boost slightly sooner and slightly harder (I'm now hitting the full 21psi of my GIAC everytime I come on boost, where as before peak would hover between 19-21psi and it wasn't consistent which peak i'd get at any given time in any given gear)
Think I'm preferring this too. Makes me think that the boost won't hold on as long as its coming on a little earlier and staying more consistant, so bound to die off earlier... No problems for me, I don't tend to redline it anyway.
Thinking about a full vac deletion and blocking off the startup loop, but unless I can get some code to bypass this, will remain as is.

Look I have some too
Can you tell me what they are, I have boxter calipers on 312mm disks
Are they 993 ones, look bigger guessing 330mm or something
Oh did you need to space the wheels a little, looks like i need about 1 or 2 mm to space itMODS- TOO MANY

Yeah, as much as pulling the rest of the stuff out of there, there just isn't any benefit for the effort of pulling it out.Originally posted by noone View PostThink I'm preferring this too. Also of note, the N249 bypass made a slight difference to the diverter valve noise (I get to hear it nice and loud thanks to my intake setup). It sounds more consistent and meaty, as if more air is getting through it each shift.Previous Rides: Polo GTI, Mx5 10AE, MY05 WRX WRP10, Renault Sport Clio 172
Current Ride: Evo 8 MR, Fabia MK3

I haven't posted in a while cos I haven't done anything to the car. I'm always a bit apprehensive posting because of people commenting why I modify my polo.
i reckon its ur car do what you want

True. As the vac is not electronically controlled, the vac from the manifold is quicker, thus the faster dump and more noise. I can't say I've had any occasion where I thought it was not working well, all good so far...Originally posted by break View PostAlso of note, the N249 bypass made a slight difference to the diverter valve noise (I get to hear it nice and loud thanks to my intake setup).
