Might have done, if I hadn't already donated it to Jimmy a few months back. Then it would have spun the wheels in 5th as well.
Intake temps are terrible on the sidemount. Just useless.
I know Guy has done the testing but I still find it hard to comprehend the pressure drop on a Forge, being worse than the heat.

Geez I hate reading how bad the stock side mount is, it makes me really want to upgrade to FMIC. I'll hopefully do some logging this weekend. I'll see how Sam goes with his SEAT core, that sounds like fantastic value for money (around $700 for all parts). So to weigh up a FMIC for a car that only gets driven on weekends, or a new computer for uni...Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI

Ok, another short episode.
I was over at Carformance at the weekend, picked up a few bits.
Shifter bushes, now fitted but not driven. Cost some blood
Ran pipe through for boost gauge, just waiting on a pod to arrive.
Fitted front ultrabrace that wouldn't go on Anthony's, in 15 minutes. Not sure what the go is with that!??
Rotated wheels and tyres.
Waiting on Superpro bushes to arrive.
More waiting for street and race spec engine steady bushes. Side note, now running the BFI green bushes in my S3 and TBH there's no extra vibes from them.
Removed rear GTI badges and polished the boot lid up.
I forgot to mention, after the turbo gave up, I wonder if it was down to the AMD one click tune. So I did some data logging. There didn't look to be much wrong with the data and I checked it with the guys in the UK. Inlet temps were massive though. I ran a comparison with my spare ECU that has Phase 1 loaded to it. TBH I find the phase 1 smoother and I keep getting MAF errors with the AMD one. I think it's not going to be a permanent feature much longer.
Next jobs will be the bushes, FMIC (Seat sport probably. Would love to do a single pass but making the pipes look good is a battle.) Downpipe and maybe an exhaust to suit (with stock noise, to keep my neighbours/wife happy on the early starts and late finishes!!)

In other news, dyno session booked for Friday AM. Going to blow a pile of money on science, with back to back runs of standard, AMD one click and Custom-Code Phase 1.
I have street logs of the AMD and Phase 1, so won't do any logging on the day. Just printouts provided by the dyno place.
They have Dyno Dynamics, so hopefully the dyno Police can stay at home
