Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Good to hear Gav, you will be so torn between that and the Audi, getting a bit like me and becoming a conservationist.

Refitted the Alpine DVD head unit just now, PO had it removed when he thought the car was a goner.... Sounds better than the VW one!
My shifts let me do loads Sean.
Just about to do a different dog bone on the S3. I bought a green and yellow one off Tim ages ago. Nit been able to do the bolt up in the middle. Sorted it yesterday though, used the rear towing eye of the Polo as a press.Worked a treat.

nice little project and enjoying reading the thread mate, i didn't know you knew how to use a camera?
i'm sad and like all the little updates like SAI 249 delete, belt and gearbox oil change so keep them coming. i think you're on the right track, get it maintained and looking sweet then i know you'll be bored and start 'tweaking'
PS i've pm'd you a link for inspiration

The link didn't work.
I am not allowed to start tweaking "officially" although I have bought some springs and might look at a downpipe.
Usually don't take pictures because my hands are minging with oil and stuff.

The intake temps were tremendous on the AMD tune but just watching them today with torque on my mobile, it highlighted just how piss weak the standard sidemount is. With 30 degrees ambient, I saw a peak of 65 after one good pull on the motorway. This took about 4 km to come back down again.
Hardly intercooling at all!
