  • 150 is correct! I know the owner, normal price would be 250. Goodyear auto care quoted me 280.

Wow that is cheap. I was quoted $400 by Pedders.

      • I got quoted 380 from pedders. I guess it depends on which state.

Ahh, a case of 'not what you know, but who you know'!

Pedders did mine, they must have got the alignment right as I have noticed no unusual tyre wear from the changed camber settings.

Does the camber change just with the replacement of the springs alone??

Yes anytime you mess with the suspension it's recommended to do an alignment otherwise you risk scrubbing out tyres.

                  • I'll look to get some "before" and "after" clips, however I'll probably have to borrow someone elses unmodified Tig for a true "before" as mine already has a 3" DP fitted.

The new exhaust is not really a performance upgrade - mainly for making the right noise out the back. Keen to see if I can get some DSG farts happening on gear changes.

Also the FMIC won't give any real world performance for me either as I don't drive that hard (car doesn't go on the track). All I'm hoping is to keep the temps down when driving up hills particulalry on hot days so it's a bit nicer on the engine.

Love to hear the sound it will make... I just want to hear sound after instal , already know how bad it in stock

You'll have to talk to Simon at Viezu about the cat-back exhaust - these are pre-launch but production models (final test fits were done on another Tig the other week).

I believe they want to launch the whole range together - CAI, DP, CBE, FMIC. I know the facelift Tig they had in recently has different intercooler piping so this has thrown the spanner in the works a bit (i.e. intercooler off the Mk6 GTI doesn't fit). Just a word of warning if you're looking at intercoolers.

The exhausts will be twin exit type (similar to current Tig exhaust) as quad exit would involve making/fitting a whole new rear diffuser/bumper. This would make the whole thing a lot more expensive if you were to do it properly so at this stage it's twin exit only.

I have seen a couple of examples of quad exit and they do look good. I think some people cut the rear diffuser with a hacksaw for the second set of tips, but I'm not that keen on going down this path. The only other option that I am aware of is an ABT kit.

                            • After upgrading your intercooler can you please post a log of intake air temp with ambient and engine RPM. Also it would be nice to see how stock intercooler perform under similar conditions.

I'll be putting my car on a dyno in a month so will get an idea on how the intercooler goes on repeated runs. I'll look to set up some logging while it's on the dyno so hopefully have some good data to share.

Just ordered some Eibach lowering springs today - hopefully get these in the next week or 2.

Still in 2 minds about changing shocks at the same time.
