      Hi Inasnt,
      The factory LC is 3500 RPM. I get a bit of wheel spin off the line and then it shifts very aggressively 2nd and 3rd gear. I’m excited about your stage 2 downpipe and tune, is it being installed this week?

        • PS - I was looking at a 2018 RS3 which was rear ended and written off earlier today, was considering buying the engine and installing in the Tig....... The minister for finance did not vote for it in the upper house.

              There’s a guy that has done this conversion on a Skoda Yeti:

              It’s a serious investment as it involved a complete engine, ecu, cluster, steering wheel and majority of electrics swap.

              • What an absolute sleeper! I bet that would have taken a while to put together and cost a fortune, if it wasn’t DIY.

                I’m hoping someone will put a big turbo kit or Hybrid IS38 on the Tiguan to get it in the 3s range. I remember Guy Harding’s Super Tig with the GTX2867R turbo and the motor magazine testers were all amazed at its capabilities on the track and in a straight line. Perhaps you could be the pioneer ? (We can start a gofundme)

                • the GTX2867R is an amazing little turbo, the Gen 2 even more!

                  I've setup and tuned a 200SX with on on E85 and made 272kW at the rear wheels on a Mainline dyno, on an ancient PI motor with 1.7bar of boost it comes all in about 4100rpm with rubbish 256 Tomei Poncams and Tomei Valvesprings. Couldn't put anymore boost in due to valve float.

                  About to strap a 200SX with the Gen 2, but Procams (260 deg) on the dyno probably in August when the owner has money to finish it off.

                  Now on a 2.0L, DI motor it would just rip your face off!

                    That sounds awesome. Over a decade ago I had an S15, loved every bit of it. I only did the ricer mods at that stage with 3.75” Trust exhaust and HKS intake. I know in your signature you’ve indicated no mods to the Tig, but perhaps a stage 1 tune with drop in could be negotiated ?

                      hahaha... I would love to actually get software where I can dial in the timing/fuelling, valve/cam timing myself (I'm a casual/hobbyist tuner). Not really a fan of "off the shelf" stuff however they are generally pretty safe and often requires no dyno time and long nights flying up and/down the highway pulling logs.

                      Funny enough, I predominantly tune S13~S15 yet I own a R33 LOL.

                          This is a legitimate concern I have but I've been reassured that all Stage 2 OEM+ get around the claimed figures.

                            Nice power curve! How does the Tig sound now with the downpipe? Does the downpipe remove the midpipe resonator ?

                              No, I still have the standard resonator, the exhaust shop said the resonator was a straight through design and the biggest restriction was the standard muffler, so I replaced it with an Arcam sports muffler. Not too loud, but there is some resonance around 1500 rpm.
