Email Notifications Failing (mostly Telstra)
Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
I have a question regarding dump pipe, does it require a tune immediately? The only reason I ask is due to looking at the is38 path once I hit 10k kms.
No you don’t need a retune, however you will get a CEL without the tune. This is one of the main things the stage 2 tune does is mask the fault.
If you don't mind sharing the price I'd be interested to know that too (PM if you're uncomfortable sharing in a public post).
When I finally get around to doing mine it will probably be with these guys.

Dan, I got it done for $995
I'll be getting the before/after dyno from them in a few weeks time, as those guys are installing a new dyno at the moment
will post the before and after as soon as I get it!
Also question in regards to IS38 upgrade, can it happen before upgrading downpipe? How restrictive is the stock downpipe? Is it more restrictive than a stock golf R DP?
was just wondering if anyone has done IS38 as the first step
(The path I took for my mps is: intake>fuel pump>downpipe>Gtx2867>fmic)

Depending on your tuner you may have to pay each step for a re-tune. There is certainly some cost benefits in working out the end game, getting all the parts together and installing everything at the same time. You'll pay for the tuning once. The down-side to doing this is if you have a problem it makes it harder to fault-find as you'll have changed multiple things.
I wouldn't go with a standard IS38. If you're changing turbo get a high flow version. Do it once, do it right
Yes to go stage 3 then you'd need turbo, cold air intake, down-pipe, intercooler and high pressure fuel pump.
Plus you'd probably want to look at upgrading brakes and tyres...
Pretty much the plan, also to the reason of getting the Sportline over a Highline. I could spend a little more before reaching retail on a Loaded R Line.

You could make a stage 3 Sportline for less than the cost of an R-line...
That's pretty neat! I haven't really seen much for the mk2 Tiguan and the JB4 though.
