No, the earlier cars and I don't know when it changed had what might be called a dumb LED while at the same time production for cars in the UK for example had the active headlights and they are both different and distinctive headlight assemblies.

Second last line second in from the right is the Tiguan electrical manual page 19.

Mine is May 2018 build Comfortline and it definitely get DLA but not too sure if I really like it. Not really as bright as normal high beam.
Just ordered an hex net dongle. Cannot wait to try it.
I also have V6 Amarok highline but didn’t find lot of mods for them.

Tried DLA on my loan Tiguan Allspace Comfortline with DAP.

The DLA on Tiguan didn’t perform as well as my Passat. The headlight temperature was not as white (cool). Transitioning was not as smooth. It’s only on or off.

Probably because Tiguan has one lens headlight but Passat has two lenses in its headlight unit.

Passat DLA staging the high beams. The high beam slowly rises up to prevent sudden light condition changes. It’s way smoother.

Also, I found Tiguan headlight can adjust the up and down way more than a Passat. Maybe due to the car is much higher.

That’s the headlight initiating.

I suspect the NAR restrictions in AUS limited the DLA as well.

The movement angles were not large.

High Beam Assist - Simply high beams on/off automatically dependent on traffic.

Has anyone successfully implemented Dynamic Light Assist on their MY18/MY19 Tiguan Highline with R pack? Reading back through this thread it seems like there was mixed results with fault codes appearing etc.

Also the MY19 I'm expecting advertises "dynamic cornering lights" in the specification brochure. Is this a different system to dynamic light assist?

I just went to the car to try this. Turns out none of the browsers on my iPad or iPhone could load the image so I decided to type out the text for those with similar issues.

Direct Acceleration - Throttle response
With this mod, you can change the behaviour of the accelerator. Option B provides a more linear acceleration without sudden deliveries.
1. Module 44 - Power Steering (Code 19249)
2. Adaptation
3. Select - switching driving profile
Choices:
A - Gradual, controlled by time
B - Directly controlled threshold value

Just tired it on my 2018 Allspace Rline and it works awesome. I usually put the gearbox into Sports when turning on the yellow light due to the throttle lag. Also find when the car changes into 3rd you have to add some more throttle to keep the acceleration constant. after the mod the throttle is more responsive.

This might just be the solution to my irritation.
When I'm in the front at red lights waiting and the engine starts automatically due to pedestrians walking past or even cars moving past at a close distance.

DLA - turns the lights in the direction of your steering wheel when cornering
HBA - automatically turns on high beam, and dips it (or parts of it) when the camera picks up on coming cars

Yes, this uses either the fog lights or a small light built into the headlights (depends on the model) to light up the side of the car approx 60 degrees off centre as you are cornering. The light comes on less than 30k/hr with indicator on
