From some testing that a friend of mine has done with Arteon and Passat, the only way to gain factory DLA functionality is by applying the correct parameter set to the 4b or 55 control module.
With just coding the function is not per factory spec and performance is not as it should be.
DLA is not the same as High Beam Assist (fla in German) as it also masks oncoming vehicle rather than just controlling dipped and high beam with instructions from the front facing camera.
I haven't seen a parameter set for Tiguan but I can look into it. There are parameter sets for Passat and Arteon. Arteon can also enable predictive light assist which uses map data to turn the headlight before the wheel is turned.
Tiguan DLA MIGHT work with the Arteon parameter set, but again I haven't tested it.

Interesting POV. So you're saying that the newest full LED headlight units have 2 versions - even though they look identical? Which means the 'shutter' functionality could be missing is the earlier Highlines.

Also DLA means a lot of different things to a lot of people in VW land as it has been used over the years for first Xenons then more advanced Xenons and finally two different LED assemblies.

Aren't the Wolfie lights the same as the R-line that rolled off the line at the same time?

I’ve been trying that, but I can’t seem to get that code for bit 10 (0F) shown in the long code.Originally posted by jdstephens View Postyou should be able to tick the bits until matches the code above, make sure you have the long code selected so you can see it change when you tick it or un tick the boxes

The user manual talks about displaying media info and traffic sign recognition in the HUD. But of course it’s disabled in Australia. When I’ve got more time I will attempt to code this into the HUD. It amazes me that all the hardware is there but they decided to have it turned off by default in Australia. Must be trying to protect their Audi brand here.

i probably need to read up on if it’s possible to restore the original, or perhaps save the original code so I can recall it if I need too.

This is the long coding from mine before I changed it:

i used the OBDELEVEN for the first time last night, didn’t even read the instructions or read the OBDEleven forums just figured it all out myself using the link above. So I don’t think it’s difficult but my only advice is to do one thing at a time.Originally posted by GreyGoose_X View PostNice, would prob consider this down the track. I'm super new to the VW coding game, but have experience working with Carly for BMW.
Couple of questions:
1) Is it a fairly involved job or is it a matter of buying the OBD11, and selecting the mods via an app? Or do you have to manually add coding lines to this?
2) Does the Traffic monitoring appear in the heads up display as well? Or just in the AID?
Thanks!
No the TMC doesn’t appear in the HUD, and I wonder if the satnav uses it to calculate the quickest route, I need to test this more. If I click traffic it will display all the messages for my route but I don’t think it incorporates it into the route planning.
TBH I’m finding the HUD a real let down, at 110km/h the pop up glass vibrates a little which is distracting at night. The lack of info on it is bad as well. I would say it’s slightly better than not having one, but coming from a Beamer that had an excellent HUD it will take a bit getting use too!

Activate Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) - from MY 2017 - AS.Coding
i picked up my wolfsburg yesterday and with less 60kms on the clock I coded DLA and TMC without issue

I made the Direct Acceleration change yesterday and it does feel different, especially driving around in the Hills District where it typically finds itself in the wrong gear moving through the side streets. I like it!
