Yes I noticed the biggest difference in sport mode. Previously there was annoying throttle input delay and this is now gone. Other drive modes are still pretty spongeyOriginally posted by GreyGoose_X View PostInteresting, so its faster vs normal, but slower vs sport?
Shouldn't it make it even more sensitive in Sport mode?

Yes, it would be more obvious- as long as there’s a car in front of you.
Be aware it turns off the right high beam, once you go over 99kph. Stupid, but it’s meant to make freeway driving better(it doesn’t)
To make knowing the correct headlights easier, google Tiguan allspace highline and look at the pics. Another giveaway is how your drl’s look.
The right lights have a u shaped drl wrapped around one of the ‘bulbs’(made from 3 small straight segments) and a top ‘eye brow’ above the whole lot.

I see it would be much more useful on long dark country drives where the roads don't have sharp corners and steep undulations one after the other.Originally posted by Hole46 View PostWas going to try installing DLA on mine tomorrow, but it seems like it’s a waste of time.

I drove a lot at night on country roads last year, this would've just made it easier to focus on the road ahead.
I'm in no rush but will check it out. What is it supposed to look like?Originally posted by jdstephens View PostHave you visually confirmed you don't have the correct headlights? Looks like I have simple high beam assist, did not notice any specific masking when following another car. Takes about 2 seconds for the system to activate the high beam compared to if you did it manually. The system is very sensitive to oncoming headlights so immediately deactivates the high beams before I had a chance to reach for the headlight stalk and deactivate the high beam.
Overall reasonably impressive. Only shortfalls from my short test tonight were the tight hill corners with undulations, when you're going into a dip it doesn't use high beams (as I would manually) to illuminate more of the road as it is about to go up again.
Wish my car would also have the active shuttering to mask specific elements but to be honest I didn't expect the MY17-18 cars to have the capability at all.
Cheers for a few of you guys sorting it out, got me to give it another try and finally got it working.

It depends on if your car has the specific hardware installed. I would confirm this before writing it off. Dynamic Light Assist is absolutely amazing when you see it in action, but if your headlights are only capable of High Beam assist then it may not be worth while.Originally posted by Hole46 View PostWas going to try installing DLA on mine tomorrow, but it seems like it’s a waste of time.
