Hi BushPig667,

I tried to do this using OBD11 and I'm getting all sorts of errors.

Do we run the basic setting for both 4B and A5 or just 4B? I'm not sure if I'm doing this right as there is no confirmation, it only say "Basic setting starting". What does Basic setting actually do?

Do you also need to undo the changes you made to High Beam assist for this to work? Thanks.

Just basic settings for 4B. One of the fault codes should be that you need to run basic settings after you make the other changes.
I’ll be honest, I don’t know what basic settings actually does. There is no confirmation that it completes.

I didn’t undo the changes for high beam assist but in hindsight it may have caused some of errors that I saw. Best of luck. For me it was perseverance that got all my faults cleared in the end rather than specific advice I can pass on.

Hi, Is there anyone around the Parramatta NSW area who could assist with disabling having to hit OK on the screen every time I start the car and allow overtaking on the left and other recommendations in exchange for beer etc?

Is it possible to re-activate the sunroof ambient lights via vcds/obdeleven?

My dealer is struggling. They’ve done the recall work(fuses) and when they did what they thought would reenable them(shouldn’t have ever been disabled according to their system...) nothing.

Hi, do you have succed with the sunroof light?
Mine was build in september 2018. I've the LED on it but i don't find the way to activate it. I also do not the icon on the my discover. Some get the icon but still do not have the LED on this f*****g sunroof

I try to find a solution with VCDS but it seems to impossible

I followed the instructions to the end and ran basic settings. On starting the car and turning on the high beam I would still get a DLA fault which I couldn’t clear.
At the end of page 2 of the coding instructions there is some additional coding for if you continue to get a fault. I entered all of this coding and it cleared the DLA fault but created a new one with turning lights which I also could not clear.
For my car, activating Byte 11, Bit 2 was causing this issue. Once I deactivated this I could clear the faults and the system worked.

Lately I’ve done a lot of research and decided to buy my first VW TIguan and collect it on the 22nd of this month. I’ve ordered a Wolfsburg edition and have been reading up on this forum about all the various mods you have all done and there are some pretty cool
things.

The main wuestion I have is should I buy the obdeleven or go with the ross tech to get started on this? It seems most obdeleven posts when using the app don’t always work so just wondering which is best to go with? Also with the obdeleven token system, if you run out of tokens is it costly to get more or how do you get them? Open to either option as you guys are the pros.

background - I have good IT background Incase that sways decision.

Most of the information you need about a comparison can be found at the start of this forum.

That being said, personally, I’ve got OBD11 as it’s a cheap alternative and is enough for my needs - basic level modifications. You can download the app for free to see if it’s what you need. Credits can be obtained by watching ads through the app should you run out, but you can also just use long coding which doesn’t require any tokens.

Sorry I should been clearer with my request.
I have an my17 model Tiguan and the dual lane is disabled by default in AID on drive assist. So I wanted to enable that and also deactivate the left lane overtaking restriction.

What do you mean by dual lane?

Registering interest. Is it the option to deactivate ‘pass on left restriction’ (or whatever it’s called)

Really wanting to see a video with DLA coded on the Australian models of the Tiguan (preferably Wolfsburg). I’m hoping to get this to work when mine arrives.

It seems to me the OBDEleven is the way to go (due cost), but I don’t have experience with either. My OBDEleven arrived a couple of weeks ago but I’m still waiting on my car to use it with.
