No it’s not, I would like to know how to do this too. Was frustrating on the weekend

Just use normal high beam then.Originally posted by Simonr23 View PostIt’s by design. The right hand high beam is disabled in auto mode, once you’re doing over 100kmh (speedo measured, not gps)
It’s meant to give you better light on motorways, where there is a barrier on the right, so no ‘need’ of extra vision. Yet you can still have the left side lit up, increasing vision.
Problem for me is it just looks jarring and makes the right side pitch black, as my eyes have adapted to the bright left side. Making the right side worse, than if I was on low beam all round.
Also there are stuff all motorways in SA, yet millions of 100-110kmh roads that are one lane in each direction.

While I understand the reason for it, it’s counter-intuitive for the majority of roads in aus (100-110kmh but dual direction)
What’s this? Is there a limitation in the DLA?

You shouldn’t have any problems.Originally posted by INASNT View PostI have an OBD11 arriving by the end of the week. Can it be used in 2 Tiguans or will it be locked out to just 1?

I am pretty sure you can use it on as many cars as you want. I’ve used mine on about 4 different cars so far without any issues.Originally posted by INASNT View PostI have an OBD11 arriving by the end of the week. Can it be used in 2 Tiguans or will it be locked out to just 1?

Tried mine again this morning, got as far as A5 coding, byte 21, bits 5-7, code to 40, OBD11 wouldn’t let me change.Originally posted by veew View PostIt is the one that DLA is capable of.
Don't know why it doesn't work for me but I have tried it a good 3 times now so I feel that it isn't worth wasting any more time trying to get it to work.
Strange, first time I tried to code DLA, did this no problems, only stuffed up when I tried basic settings for headlights.

Reading the PDF I linked to what light assemblies has your car got?Originally posted by veew View PostI had another go to see if DLA would work. Unfortunately it didn't, reintroduced an error on the driver's display. Was unable to do basic headlight settings in Module 4B, reported "(22) Function cancelled, marginal conditions have not been meet". I was allowed to do the basic headlight settings and confirmation in Module 9 but not 22.
In the end reverted the changes back for simple Light assist (High beam assist) and have no more errors. Able to do basic headlight settings in Module 4B.

Do you have a camera in the windshield? If yes, then perhaps you need to look at your coding again because if you've got the hardware then coding DLA is possible

No, the earlier cars and I don't know when it changed had what might be called a dumb LED while at the same time production for cars in the UK for example had the active headlights and they are both different and distinctive headlight assemblies.Originally posted by GreyGoose_X View PostInteresting POV. So you're saying that the newest full LED headlight units have 2 versions - even though they look identical? Which means the 'shutter' functionality could be missing is the earlier Highlines.

Applying parameter set is necessary for DLA.
It works but it works unsafely without the proper parameters. It has delays in response, not blocking enough area issues and the laggy responses following the front car.
That is what I concluded in the limited tests and daily uses.
