Thanks for the review. Always nice to here. I don't have mine yet (should get it next week) but I'm curious to see if you can try the myGuide app. It's pretty much the only car-net feature we actually get, and the app is apparently meant to allow you to "Start navigating directly from the app". Presumably you can enter your destination in the app and it will start the navigation in the Discover Pro unit. Maybe give it a try?

Happy to try. Is this an Android or Apple app or something else?


BTW Apart from having to plug the phone in, and the map not displaying on the dashboard, Android Auto is excellent. Voice control is managed by Google and the map displays on the Infotainment unit.

Hmm. So I downloaded the My Guide app for Android, plugged the phone into the car and selected App Connect from the car's menu (as per the app's instructions). But every time I did this, Android Auto automatically started and I just couldn't get My Guide to show up. In the end, I gave up as I wasn't willing to remove Android Auto from my phone in case I had problems getting AA working again. Sorry!

Thank you guys for the details. I hope my order doesn't get push back further. I guess I should ask for the NADCON details list that some of your guys are getting which will give me a better indication of where my car is at.

Ordered tig 162 r-line with DAP & sunroof last week - it was the last one for delivery this year according to dealer with supply chain reports indicating no more available until 2018. Anyone heard otherwise or similar?

Welcome to the club Scotchy. I rang up Sydney City VW on the weekend and was told Sept/Oct the earliest so you might want to give them a call. What price did you get it for btw? Interested to see if dealers are still willing to bargain on the price.

Those with vehicles on the Tortugas, and waiting for it to pop back onto the Vessel Tracker, its back. Lost for a while down the West African coast. Due into Port Elizabeth shortly and departs later today.

Seems to be still on schedule for 12 Apr in Melbourne, 14 Apr Port Kembla.

I have the order sheet for August delivery, but ashamed to say I got no discount. $64.9k all up, due to the demand they were firm no discounts were being offered at all. On the Sept/Oct model was it an MY17 or MY18 build?

. Yep, Tortugas is sitting at the dock in Port Elizabeth. My ScIrocco goes to its new owner tomorrow - bit sad about that - but the arrival of my new S3 should cheer me up late next month.

MY18 spec starts getting built late May/early June. These will start turning up Aug/Sept so I imagine that a Sept/Oct car will be MY18 spec.

As to what changes there will be for MY18 it's a bit of a guess at this stage.

I've referred a couple of guys from this forum that have ordered my18 RLINEs coming late September- October.
My dealer is taking orders for my18 now

I asked them last Monday. They told me it would be about 10 business days for the car to reach the dealer, after which they will call me and arrange delivery date. Based on the 10 days, I'm expecting a call on Friday. They said the delivery would be about 4 days after that (i.e about next Thursday) but that they would confirm that when they call me.
