I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

I've rang up my sales guy again this morning to ask the NADCON screen shot and was told the same thing that sales don't have access to the system, only the sales manager have access but he will follow up. So let see how it goes.

I signed the contract on the 6th Jan from VW North Shore. I ordered a black 162Rline with DP & sunroof. I was originally told delivery would be mid May, but then told at the start of this month that the factory has a back log & now is early/mid July. I haven't asked for a NADCON but the dealer did provide me with these specific dates:
25th March - Commence Build
25th April Build Date - leaves factory
8th May - Leave Germany
20th June - Arrives
Early/Mid July - Handover

Didn't know how she gave birth in the front seat as I was driving and her seatbelt was still on!

Wow! Congrats on the baby! Was reading your comment and noticed how similar we are, I got my Tiguan r line with all 3 packs in pure white last month ( same car), wives both own a candy white Polo and your daughters name is Eva and mine is Ava. Small world!

So looking forward to getting the Tiguan it's been 3 weeks now without my GTI missing having a car!

Abby Macryannis. She has been quite open in providing a NADCON screen shot. It shows the order date. I suggest they don't want to provide you a screen shot as it will also show a customer number which can then be matched to a VIN. If they sold your car to someone else, or put in on their showroom floor, then it would show a date significantly after your contract date. This is what I suspect is why they won't give it to you.

I would tell them point blank that you suspect they have sold the vehicle you ordered to someone else, or have taken it for their own profitable advantage. There is no other explanation as to why you have ordered your car a month before me yet are not expecting it for two months after me. If they give you bull**** about the sunroof causing the delay then I'm sure there are other 162 R-Line owners on this forum that have already taken delivery of identically equipped vehicles that will provide you more ammo.

Also ask them to show you some order dates and delivery dates of their demonstrators. If they'd managed to get a similarly equipped demo in their showroom with an order date after your contract date it also shows them to be liars.

I wouldn't bother with the salesman any more. Go direct to the sales manager or the dealer principal and make a complaint. Tell them that unless they can provide you with conclusive proof that your vehicle was ordered promptly after you signed the contract, then you will take the matter to the department of fair trading. They are clearly taking advantage of you. Of course he's happy for you to cancel the order. That would be another vehicle worth more to him than he has contracted to sell to you.

My NADCON screen shot shows the login as Chayce McCubben, who may indeed be the sales manager.

Ahhh that's the guy (Chayce) who offer me to cancel my order. I'm trying hard to get that screen shot and I'm not backing down. Thanks for your help mate.

Thanks for your details TIG162R. All I got was order date of mid Nov 2016 and hand over production (not the same as commence build date) 1st April which is later that yours. I have a strong suspicion that they are doing something dodgy with my order.

It could be due to the fact that each dealer has a specific number of build slots and for this particular dealer they have slotted you here.

It's not a build slot issue.

Doesn't explain how I can order a vehicle in late December from the same dealer yet get a delivery in late April. If there was a build slot issue all vehicles from the same dealer would be delayed by the same amount.

No. No sunroof on mine.

However there is plenty of anecdotal evidence here of others taking delivery of their sunroof equipped R-Lines to make me think that can't be the issue.

Yes that is my thinking too. The sales manager mentioned R-Line is causing delay and no mention of sunroof. I'm actively chasing for my NADCON screen shot now. Hopefully I'll get it soon.

Keep chasing it, I got mine eventually and I'm cancelling my order as a result with one dealership as they'd stated a late July delivery from the start and then it changed to early September once I had the screenshot in hand, they mentioned that was worse case scenario but thanks to Eyes24 signed up with another dealership with a slightly better deal and a confirmed early July delivery, car is being built week 16 so win/win. With the initial purchase, made sure I had a delivery within x months clause which they can't do so won't cost me a cent cancelling.
