If you are going all the way you can’t skimp on tyres, you are only as strong as your weakest link.
Yeah but the wheels weren't in my original plan/budget so it's kind of put a bit of a spanner in the works already. Let alone stretching another $2k for tyres...
I'm thinking if I at least swap tyres over I can run the rims now otherwise I'd likely have to wait until after tax return time... which would probably be around when the orginal tyres would need to be replaced anyway - depending on how they wear.
I think I'm talking myself into swapping the tyres over and running the new rims with the stock rubber.
The Kapstadt do sit inside the wheel arches a fair way so I'm hoping these are going to sit close to flush (just inside by a couple of mm by my calculations).
Remember I don't have the arch extensions that the R-line gets so I probably can't go quite as aggressive with offsets without the R-line flared arches.
what are you going to do with the Kapstadt's? I'd like to see those on an R line for giggles
Kapstadt's are likely going to sit in boxes in the shed to go back on when I sell the car. Unless someone comes along and offers me a good price and I'm running short on funds to finish my build...
