The only parts you cant wrap are the plastic wheel arches, rest no issues

Yeah though the car wrap guy I spoke with said you're still going to get an orange peel effect on plastic trims that aren't filled so you're back to needing to fill before wrapping. Just if you're going to spend a decent amount of time and $ on wrapping all the lower body panels to end up with a less than perfect job. You'll end up pulling it all off and doing it properly.

Or in my case just spend $30 to make it 80% better and be happy. In terms of bang for buck I think either plasti-dip or the plastic restorer are not bad options. I'll have to see how the restorer wears over time.

Yes as I said in the other post there's a 3-4 week build time for the turbo and then shipping from Germany so I'm not expecting to see this until later in February. I still have a few other parts to collect before getting the installation and tuning done.

It’ll have 15,000km on it by the time all the hardware gets bolted on.

If nothing has broken by then there’s a good chance nothing will (given the decent reliability of these cars).

It’s always a risk you take. If you modify and break a car outside of warranty you’re still up for the cost of the repairs so I don’t really see much difference.

How many kms do you have on your car so far? Ours only has 5600km on it.

I wonder how long I'll last till I do any mods, coming from a lifetime of modding it is proving hard to resist.

1st mod for ours would be a modified dump/down pipe that retains the stock o2 placement and cat. Will do a back to back on a dyno and see if it's worth providing this to Tiguan owners.

Yes Tiguan will be my daily/work car for the next couple of years at least. One of my key criterias when modding is that it has to maintain daily driveability.
