Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    • Looks like I may just be getting a base map in so the car is driveable and then install the pump and get tuning done later next week.

Hahaha I know there’s faster cars out there for sure. It probably give it a good run for its money up to 60 or 80 km/hr which is all you get in a traffic light GP.

It’s not off the cards. It’s either that or getting the tool for another fuel pump as they’re all very similar.

Yes I know Autotech is the other option.

Just attach a long straw into the fuel tank and then you can have the passenger blow really hard to create extra pressure in the tank

Yes and I'll get the passenger to pedal as well for the extra 0.5hp...

Having owned both cars a 250kw@wheels or close to that Tiguan with awd and dsg would easily chop a r33 skyline with 370 or 470kw@wheels at any traffic light drag or street race...

Rwd, 5 speed with no launch control with street tyres will not get low 0-100 times.

                              • I've got an Haltech Elite 2500, will wire in the front wheel sensors in as VSS, ie the dinosaur will also have traction control, and launch control as well as proper ignition anti-lag

But yeah, it will be a POS when taken on unexpectedly by an AWD DSG modern car such as a mildly worked Tiguan.
