I only buy interesting cars Don haha. I will get you the two files tomorrow. As for the error, yes I noticed and will clear the fault next time I log in. Looks like it will take some investigation to find out whether changes to the lights are possible.

Hi Don,
here is the link for the additional two files you asked for. I have also included another controller file, A5.
I actually found Long Coding settings (see image). However, no matter what option I chose, my headlights stayed the same.
Very disappointing. Maybe there are multiple settings for this.
***UPDATE***
I have been in touch with friends of mine in Germany who just confirmed that there are two different headlight units depending on whether you ordered your car with or without dynamic light assist. Unfortunately that is not what I wanted to hear. So that's it. I'm stuck with one "L" either side.Last edited by mickofoz; 17-10-2017, 08:16 PM.

The module @ address hexA5 - which is where your screenshot is taken, is the front facing camera that's glued to the windshield. It's used for lots of driver assist functions including High-beam assist.
The information in the modules @ address D6 & D7 was a bit disappointing. These have exactly the same modules, but they have no useful data.
As I said previously - needs some experimentation IMO

Hi, just wanted to add thanks for the info on instrument lighting for day time illumination. I have a UK 2015 GTD and full VCDS cable if I can supply any useful data. Cheers, Mike.Last edited by bigtallbloke; 18-10-2017, 04:46 AM.

Hi,
I activated automatic coming home, but can someone say if this behavior that's as it should do?
If I exit car without lock the car, all rear lights are on:
If I exit car, lock the car, only this rear lights are on, the other one switches off:
Pictures are just an example. Please check the rounded marks.
Nothing to do with leaving the rotary light switch in the parking light position with the turn-signal stalk in the left turn position
I activated automatic coming home lights, instead pull the lights stalk.
So my doubt is:
When I exit car, coming home is already activated, and rear lights are as picture 1.
After that I lock the car the rear lights are as picture 2.
Rounded marks = What light is on.Best Regards,

Hi forum experts
I been thinking about some minor "improvements" to my Mk7 R, (including reducing the soundaktor volume to 0%).
Simple OBDeleven adaptor and software *might* be sufficient.
BUT the Autoinstruct supplier has jacked the price up to AUD$149, and doesn't even have any stock in Aust. Dunno if delivery is included.
The "entry level" VCDS device from Ross-Tech is around AUD$340, with FedEx express delivery.
My initial interest is mainly in the realm of "comfort and convenience", rather than performance.
Who knows whether enthusiasm for greater things will emerge.
Any pros and/or cons of OBDeleven vs VCDS.
Yes, I've read Ross-Tech: VCDS: DTC Comparison
TIA's for any tips, clues, or opinions.
Edit. Found some helpful answers in these good forum threads.

I have a polo gti 6c I enabled rain close and convenience options which work. but now my drivers door electric window works in reverse... as in if I click up it rolls down and vice versa. I have done everything I can to find window controls as well undone all my ads tweaks to no avail. could anyone shine any light on this? much appreciated.

Im having an issue with my Mk7.5 - my reverse camera is staying open (although not displayed on the MFD) and a single reverse light is remaining active whenever the car is on regardless of speed/gear etc. I've run an auto-scan and nothing is showing up to suggest a fault but I'm thinking something may be off coding wise? Can anyone point me in the direction on where the speed threshold for the camera is on the cars coding? Or potentially what triggers it to open? I'm thinking the coding for the reverse light/camera might be off? I don't remember playing with those settings on OBD11 and any stage though.
I'd rather try and sort it out myself than going to the hassle of going to the dealer etc.2018 Golf 7.5 110TSi Comfortline | Drivers Assistance Package | Retrofitted: Traffic Jam Assist | Emergency Assist II | Light Assist | OEM Vienna Leather Sports Seats with full Highline Interior | Power Folding Mirrors

^^^^ here is a section of the Wiring diagram for the RVC which is R189:
Doesn't matter if you are not familiar with wiring diagrams - the thing to note is the bit that I have circled (i.e. J519) which is what's called the Body Control Module (or the BCM @ address hex09). As shown, the camera has a blue/black wire that is connected to pin #64 on the A connector (i.e. "T73a /64" in the wiring diagram means that the blue/black wire is connected to pin #64 of the 73 x pin connector on the "A" socket) of the BCM. This is the wire that turns ON/OFF the RVC (this pin normally operates whenever the reverse-switch in your gearbox/auto-tranny changes state)
Now, there is a Leuchte-set (which is a bunch of adaptation channels) in the BCM called Leuchte29RFL RA64 that controls how/when the right-side reverse light operates. Notice the A64 term in the descriptor - this means that the Leuchte-set controls pin #64 on the A connector of the BCM. Yes, the same pin as on my wiring diagram!!!
So- as jap says, the basic problem in your case is probably the way that pin #64 (A connector) is operating. If you are using VCDS, I suggest that you look at your Adplog.CSV file in the lap-top that you use to run VCDS for any recent coding changes that you made to Leuchte29RFL RA64. Very likely, it is this coding change that has forced a voltage to appear on pin #64 (A connector) at an inappropriate time.
