Rear Brake Covers on R

Hi to all. Hope we are all enjoying this time of the year. Double demerits are a pain.

Can I ask if anyone can confirm that the rear brake covers have the R logo? I just noticed my rear callipers are showing the metal pin and no covers. What stops someone getting a screwdriver and popping that metal clip/pin out? Plus it doesn't look complete. My pirelli had red covers on the back and front.

Only the front brakes have the R logo/cover on them

Is there a thread where people are posting what they paid for their Mk7 R's new? I'd be interested to hear what the best deals are but I am unable to locate this thread if it exists, especially keen to find out deals for cars with no options and manuals.

yup, the dealer tint on your car is just so mismatched! saw your car this morning at Tint a Car Milton

hopefully the new tint will look much better, Byron is a great bloke to deal with! Highly recommended for any R owners looking to get tinting done and he can do the small triangle bit too for the Mk7 R

I have Bolle 35% tint at the fronts and Johnson SILHOUETTE 52% at the rears, the colours are very closely matched for my Mk6 R. The rears come in blue greenish tint from the factory.

As per previous suggestions I have ordered Pedal box. Once it arrives and installed I will give feedback.
Next will be DSG tune once released. That should be it for a while but we all know once we start the modding process it never ends!

Cheers. I used plasti dip to see how the black on cadiz completes my black roof/mirror look. I have had my eyes on OZ ultraleggera HLT's for some time now and now i know i love the black look ill be purchasing them sometime next year to hopefully be put on as 'dry season' rims with the cadiz being my 'wet season' choice.

Well I cannot commend Byron @ Tint a Car Milton enough for the fantastic job he did on the R.

I had done a lot of reading in regards to tint and found it common that on the Mk7 tinters would either not do the quarter window, "have a crack" or put I actually read people tinting the outside...

Byron did an absolutely fabulous job and as dirty as the car looks, it is "whiter"

I don't know exactly what tint it is as my partner took the car in and I believe after discussion with Byron my partner changed what we were getting done.

End result is great though but I will phone up Friday to confirm what tint was used.
