Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'm pushing for ALOT. And after the rim debacle in QLD, I'm sure VW will be very accommodating... Stay tuned.

Makes me very nervous. Especially with the illegal tyres the factory fitted on mine.
i have only seen the pzero 225 35 19 fitted onto the GTI PP and none on all of the mk7 R's i have seen in Brisbane.Mitsubishi Pajero Sport - Super Select 2WD/4WD

Eg a Mk 6 Golf R has 225/40R 18 with a 92 load rating, or a 235/35R19 with a 91 load rating.
The GTI Performance must have a 225/35R19 with an 88 on its placard because that's what Carsales says they come with. Also, it has a 7.5" wide wheel and you can't put a 235/35R19 on a 7.5". You can put a 225/35R19 on an 8" though. The tyre to wheel width rules are international.
DrK's car obviously slipped out of the factory with GTI Performance tyres on it. Naughty, unless VW have an 88 rated tyre on the Mk7 R placard. I doubt they do.Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD

The cars on a Carsales have 88s on them in the photos. The placard must have 88. VW couldn't have f$$ked up to that extent. If they have then Fairfax will ream them. It'll make the Melissa Ryan case look like a storm in a tea cup...Last edited by Paul_R; 20-05-2014, 10:48 PM.Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
