But I don't mind that. I'm sometimes in area where I can't guarantee good fuel and would prefer to be a few kw down on power for that sake than anything else.
Most tuned R's and indeed stock ones do give a little belch of smoke.
My R, never in 20,000 km so far under any conditions.

My observation is that if you are a police officer and you total a brand new Golf R .. you can get away with it

^ ouch!!
My observation for the day is about people who underestimate the little Golf. A guy at work recently purchased a Toyota Celica (early 2000 model with the 1.8L VVVT-I engine) and hit me up today for a drag. And its the 4speed auto to boot. He genuinely thinks his "sports car" will beat the Golf......
Tempted to send him my dyno printout....
Should line up with him for a giggle.

Only from the new exhaust however
Oh and here's a facepalm for you...........
I had the O2 sensor in the drivers side exhaust pipe with the valve still connected.......... and for about 10 runs too, we don't usually look at the Dynos sensor anyway but still it looks rather amusing

By smoke I mean unburnt fuel.
Noticed it on a couple of cruises - drove besides a GIAC tuned one on the F3 and it gave quite a belch hitting it on an uphill section.
I've got no idea with mine, haven't seen anything of any note.Audi S3. Sold
